I can't comment on figure skates, & equipment, but for hockey, this is the place. I drive all the way to Laurel from Rockville to have my son's skates sharpened at For Sports. They do a much better job than most other pro shops. Also they take time to properly fit skates and equipment. My son is fussy about skate fit, but he walked out completely satisfied. The personnel is knowledgeable and patient - in fact I was given backup hardware for his helmet, which is a must when on the road. I highly recommend this place.

on't leave skates at the pro shop to be sharpened. Stand over them and wait otherwise they won't get done! I brought four pair of ice skates in to be sharpened. I waited for two and left two there since I had to get my daughter to a lesson. I was told they would be done that night. Two days later I went back to pick up. They were not done. Guy in pro shop said he was sorry and would do them right away. I asked how long? He said 10-15 minutes. I went to my car to tell my husband and four kids and waited the time, then went back in. THEY WERE NOT DONE OR EVEN BEGUN. He said ours got pushed to the back of the line because other people had been waiting too! I SHOULD HAVE ASKED if they've been waiting FOR TWO DAYS!!!????
