I am very disappointed with Jane. My boyfriend and I went there to shop for a companion pet for me. We started looking at a Senegal Parrot. I've had birds and so I was asking questions. I'd never seen this breed before. I specifically asked if the parrot would love us both or if he would be overly attached to one or the other of us. She said he would absolutely love us both.

We bought him and brought him home a couple of weeks later he ONLY responds to my boyfriend. He hates me, he won't even take food from me and he bites and lunges at me whenever he gets the chance. When I googled this problem I found that Senegal Parrots are ABSOLUTELY one person birds and that this is a major problem with the whole breed. Their other charming quality is that they attack other pets. So no bird for me ever, I guess.

So either Jane didn't know that the breeds #1 characteristic was becoming attached to only one person (in which case she pretends she is knowledgable when she is not) or she lied just to make a sale. Either way it wasn't good for us and it is a HUGE disservice to the bird. She can't claim that she cares about her birds when she sent this one to a home that she knew was not right for him. I can't even return him because now my boyfriend loves him. And I still don't have a bird. I just have a bird mess and I'm out $800.

Very VERY disappointed to be stuck with a bird that hates me for the next 30-50 years. Thanks for nothing, Jane.
