honest guy with great solution for my tub

This guy came to my rental and I thought my tub needed replacing since the tenants I had put a hole in my tub. He did what he said he could do and made my tub look as good as new. Since his repair held up for such a long time, i recommended him to my friends and family who also have been very satisfied with this guys work. I would use him to fix any damaged tubs in the future. Thanks again for the good work Vince!!!

Four months ago I hired this f...

Four months ago I hired this fellow to do some fairly simple restoration work in our bathrooms. Among the services I requested was the refinishing/painting of our bathroom sinks. The price quoted for all of the work including the aforementioned seemed reasonable and without hesitation I told him to proceed. I was not given a choice of colors however which I found a bit odd. The color he wanted to use (goat vomit green) was as a result of an excess of paint he had left over from a previous job. When I told him what color it was we preferred he told me there would be an additional $40 charge. This seemed somewhat arbitrary and contrived; the labor would be the same and a small can of paint doesn't cost $40. I offered to go to Home Depot for him to buy the paint while he was doing some of the other work in our bathrooms. He told me that he would take care of it. Nevertheless, I agreed to this as well without quibbling.

Two months later the paint used on one of the sinks began to chip and peel. I was neither upset nor angry as the overall quality of the other things done was reasonably good. Sometimes things happen. When I attempted to contact Vince, (owner/contractor) who had done the work there was no answer and I had no choice but to leave a voice mail message. A week went by and still no return call. I called again and did speak with Vince who told me he was "slammed" and could not possibly get to it for a week. He assured me he would call back. Again, he did not. I called AGAIN a week or so later and after all of the requisite apologies was told that he would be over on the weekend to take care of the issue. That was about six weeks ago and still I've heard nothing, nor will I.

It is apparent to me that this contractor has no interest whatsoever in ensuring customer satisfaction after he receives payment. When HE had a problem with his bank regarding an issue that pertained to our initial agreement he called me and in a most contrite manner asked if I would speak to a representative of that institution on his behalf. I did, and HIS problem was resolved with alacrity and dispatch. The three times I spoke either with or to him pursuant to my issue I was reserved and polite. In retrospect, it seems I was more gullible than I thought I was capable of being.

I would not hire this contractor again under any circumstances irrespective of his standing with the BBB. He is irresponsible and unreliable.

By the way, guess who kept the excess paint....

Excellent job resurfacing my oval premium fiberglass tub.

Technician reponded timely to house call. Reported the surface was undergoing stress cracks and in need of resurfacing. I noticed the fiberglass webbing material was exposed and softened from wear & tear and in need of repair soon or disaster could strike! The resufacing that the technician did made the tub look like new and am very pleased with result. Now I am no longer in a worry if it is going to fail catostrophically soon. I can shower/bath with confidence with my 'look like new' tub. Tub was about 12 years old and in need of repair/replaced. replacement costs could be 3-4K! Set price of $265 for a standard tub, more for larger ones. It took a couple days waiting time for new coating to set and the smell (chemical/resin kind) was strong. I ran the fan in the bathroom for 2-3 hours along with window open, ceiling fan running to air out and was able to sleep in adjacent bedroom that night. 2 days later the coating was completely dry and 1st shower was GREAT!! If the price is right for you, then I recommend the service! Cash or check only! No credit cards.
