They are located in a nearly deserted shopping plaza in a high crime area of Lansing. It took me three hours of calling constantly to get someone to answer the phone, and when they did, I was told, "Well obviously, we are busy." Often times when I get here there are only a couple other people in the waiting area and yet I usually end up spending several hours here. The staff is almost uniformly rude and actively seek any reason to deny you the chance to donate. Screening staff regularly moves you to the back of the line if one of their friends comes in to donate. They stop accepting clients and lock their doors an hour before the posted closing time. For example, I've come a little before 5 on a day that they claimed to close at 6 and was scolded and humiliated for being inconsiderate.

At first i recommended this place to friends and family who might want to make some extra $. Most of the people are really friendly although there are some sour apples but you get that everywhere. I went to donate and went to get screened, pulse was too high so i was told to wait in the lobby for 15mins-it took 45 to get called back. I got screened n everything checked out. Or so i thought. I then got called to where they do the exams and was questioned as to why i don't shower and am i homeless! I have a skin condition and sometimes it emits an odor when i sweat. Hello its 90 degrees out there! I shower everyday, i have a home and a steady income. I was too humiliated to ever go back. Will be checking out the other place soon. =)
