Overall, my experience with DTN has been great thus far. This was my first year leasing with this agency, and I elected to sign on for another two years with them. The staff is very cordial and maintenance is very quick to respond to any problems that arise.

The leasing office is amazing, they handle complaints (the few that we have) and are quick to fix anything that is broken or damaged. They are friendly and I enjoy/recommend renting from DTN Management Company.

Living in Burcham Place has been a wonderful experience thanks to the help of DTN management. Anytime me or my roommates had a question or maintenance request, DTN was quick to answer and solve the problem. The apartments themselves are beautiful and clean, and the extra amenities such as the pool and gym were awesome! I would highly recommend living at Burcham place, or any of DTN managed apartments, to anyone.

Great company. Whenever a problem came up, it was quickly fixed. Everyone was nice. The tanning and pool are great extras too. On move in day, the maintenance guy (Ron) even stopped by to introduce himself. Love living in university villa.

I live in Verndale apartments. Beautiful property, excellent contacts with the office. Boy, I tell ya, if you do have a maintenance issue, they are super quick at getting it resolved (I've only had a couple of minor issues in the almost 2 years that I've been here) and they were fixed immediately. Personally, I call my apartment my "tree house", I'm on the 2nd floor looking out over the big yard, with trees and nature right at my window. I couldn't ask for a better experience. I recommend them to anyone looking for a nice, safe apartment complex. Love it!

My roommates and I love living at DTN's Burcham Place Apartments! The kitchens are very modern and have plenty of counter and storage space. We also appreciate the in-apartment laundry and the gym in the clubhouse nearby. The Burcham Place staff has been great about promptly answering our maintenance requests and often provides little treats to motivate you throughout the semester. If you are looking for a beautiful apartment in a quiet area Burcham Place is the right spot for you!

I've very much enjoyed living at Burcham Place. The apartments are beautiful and have central air and in-apartment laundry. The kitchens are huge with ample storage and the closets are wonderful with full length mirrors. It is also a quiet area and the leasing office is a two minute walk away which is very convenient. Maintenance has been quick whenever we've needed them as well.

I have lived at 731 Burcham Apartments for three years now and it has been an excellent experience. The location is a perfect distance from campus, the team at the leasing office has been exceptionally accommodating and helpful with all my apartment and leasing needs, and there is free Starbucks coffee in the Clubhouse! Can't beat that.

Dtn was my first apartment experience. So far, it's been pretty good. The workers, as in those working the front desk and conducting the tours are usually very enjoyable to talk to as well as very helpful. The managers weren't as personable or people friendly, but nothing to stop me from signing. I feel that as a college student, dtn is a great choice. Nice environment and apartment. Decent communication. Overall enjoyable experience.

My car was broken into and towed from my own personal spot (when it had a permit) because of bad communication on their part. Their solution to the break in was for my insurance to handle it, which raised my monthly rate. As for when they towed my car, I woke up in the middle of the night and my car was gone, called everyone that I could and no one could tell me where my car was, no one could even tell me it was towed. I was told to wait until morning or call the police and report it stolen. I had to skip class the next day to figure out where on earth my car was and my roommate had to drive me to the impound lot. I later had to take my car in because the tow screwed up my ABS which DTN recommended I take it to their mechanic and wouldn't pay for me to take it to my own. Not sure why I would trust anyone they recommended. A year later, I get a call from a debt collector saying we owe money for a stain on the carpet. They told me I received 4 letters with the charges?? I didn't.

DTN is pretty much void of any type of customer service. They will charge you for “damages” that do not exist or were already there previous to your move in. In my case, my roommate and I moved in about a week apart. Since she already filled out & turned in the move-in form indicating the damage already present in the apartment, they gave me my own to fill out. After we moved out of the place, I was charged for stains on the carpet in three different rooms that I know we did not do. These “stains” were not marked on my roommate’s move-in form, but on my form. I kid you not, I tried talking to 4 different people about this. First I sent in a written note disputing the stains. They mailed me their “decision” with evidence of only my roommate’s move-in form (the one that didn’t have the stains marked) and told me they wouldn’t be giving me any refund since the stains weren’t marked on her form. I then called and explained that I wanted MY move-in sheet, not my roommate’s, to which they then responded that my form “wasn’t valid” because you are technically only allowed to have 1 form per room. Well if it wasn’t going to be valid, why did Berrytree give me my own form to fill out? Whatever the policy, the point is that I was told to fill out a form under the assumption that it would COUNT, since I wasn’t present to help my roommate fill out the other form. I called to complain about the charge and was passed from person to person, none of which were helpful. Finally, I was told to email the DTN property manager, Carol, about the problem. I emailed her several times, asking for a copy of my form regardless of its validity and what was or wasn’t marked, but was ignored, even though I sent several emails. Then, in my last email, I threatened to write a bad review of their management, which magically elicited a response from her, to which she claimed that they “didn’t have any such form” of mine. Riiighhttt…first they tell me the move-in form doesn’t count, and then once I want to see it anyway, it “doesn’t exist.” Seems legit.

Even if they had a reason to charge me for the stains, let's say they had my sheet and I didn't mark them or whatever, they could have just sent me the form I filled out to prove it and I would have accepted the charge. But the fact that they kept BSing me about it is what makes me mad. Dishonesty and ignoring your customer is not the way to handle problems.

So, long story short, do everything you can to avoid living in a DTN community. Management is horrible. You will be charged for things you didn’t do and then promptly ignored when you demand to see proof of said damages. Terrible customer service and poor management. Don’t do it.
