Be careful what day you cancel your membership. I was told that I needed to give 30 days notice if I cancel. My contract said I needed to give 30 days notice too. HOWEVER, when I went to cancel they pulled out a form that says the 30 days must be before the next billing date. So they can charge their members up to TWO months in extra payments when they leave. They overcharged me, and I want others to know that the Y might not be the best place to go for a gym membership. .
