Took my chihuahua to the vet today to investigate a mystery bruise. took her to smoketown animal hospital on old Philadelphia pike . The vets were nice but the director was Horrible (Jennifer Hufnagle ) she spoke down to me . Treated me like a child and was completely condescending. They wanted 100 for a blood panel. I said i could pay 50 today and 50 on my next paycheck. She wanted to know how i was going to pay for treatment then . Implied that i was stupid and a bad dog owner for not having the money on hand for an emergency vet visit . (She said "you know you have a dog, right? " i felt disrespected and degraded. I would NOT recommend going there . Take your precious fur baby somewhere they care more about the treatment and care then the money.

If you care about your pet don't bring him to this place!!!! The staff are so rude. I called to make an appointment and they hung up on me. I thought the call was dropped so I called a second time and a lady answered the phone by saying"don't call here" I thought I dialed the wrong number but no!!!!! I was speachless!!! How rude!!!!! It looks like they don't know the meaning of professionalism!!! Imagine the kind treatment they would give to your pet!!!!!!

I have been using the services of Dr. H. since the birth of our new puppy March 1, 2009 - and she ROCKS! Talla recently was ill and you know how that can go - emergencies require you see the first available and Dr. H. was not available, but she made herself available and I was so very pleased because she knows what she is doing and she is gentle! I love this place! They never miss a beat, love the staff! My sister has been using Dr. Battah for many years, and I now know why! No wonder they are voted Lancaster's favorite year after year! WORTH EVERY PENNY

I've been to this kennel many times and it is clean and the people are very nice BUT they have raised the rates so many times that now it costs more to board your pets than it costs to stay in a luxury hotel! They now have a $5 bio-hazard fee (I guess it's for picking up poop)--per pet for the first nights stay. My pets are staying elsewhere from now on.
