Associations
The success of the Lancaster Science Factory depends largely on our volunteers. As a 501C3 Non-Profit organization with a small staff, we depend on our volunteers to "keep the gears turning" around the museum. The Science Factory is proud to have over 50 volunteers who donate their time week after week to help us meet our goals of offering a fun and educational experience for kids and their families. While a science background is appreciated, our volunteers are not required to be a retired science teacher or engineer (although we have plenty of volunteers from those fields). All a volunteer needs is dedication to our mission of working with children to develop curiosity, think creatively and build confidence as they learn the principles of science.
