We love Schaefer Lawn Sprinkler Co and wish every company we dealt with was as honest, timely and efficient as they are. After nursing along our very old system for many years, they installed a new system this summer that has improved the quality of our lives. They upgraded our plumbing, carefully walked us through operational concerns, and even helped us with a yard issue unrelated to the system. The new system works great and saves us both time and water. We couldn't be happier. It's so great to work with a long term family run business that is honest and reliable.

I am writing today to just warn those out there that have been long time customers of Schaefer. They used to be a fantastic company but now that they have become a much larger company I would not use them. There used to be a lovely lady that answered the phones and booked our appointments, I am not sure where she has gone to, but the new staff, IE: Nicole is not helpful at all. We have had such a hard time getting an apt. for this spring and there have been no accommodations made to help us with our sprinkler. Having an apt. booked for the 28th, we were moved from that appointment because they did not hear in time for us to confirm. (Nicole called at 3:12 yesterday afternoon and I called right when they opened this morning). Such bad customer service and care. They have now moved us out to the 12th of June. I asked to speak to Tom, one of the higher ups that I have dealt with in the past and Nicole said that he was not in today. (Dishonest as well) I asked her to have him call me and she put me on hold and yes you can guess Tom was there. Once I spoke to Tom, he did not care that we were finding a new company even after I explained our situation.
I think it is terrible for a company to get so large that they do not accommodate or remember those that were there when the company was not as busy. I would strongly recommend never using them. Terrible customer service. Such a shame.

they did the job but- workers helped themselves to my patio furniture, feet up on cushions for a nice after noon- told management, no response- the project managers were awesome to work with

Schaefer came out to repair my sprinklers. The guy quoted me the cost for repair/materials would be between $200 to $300. When he left he stated that the company would send me a bill in a few days. The bill came, it was $477.00. I am still waiting to hear from Schaefer on what they are going to do about this.

Although Schaefer does not do the type of work I was looking for - homeowners' open space, the person I talked to on the phone was very pleasant and helpful in giving the phone number of a company to help me out. Based on this experience, I will definitely call them for any residential needs.
