It’s always tough trying to find a quality tattooist, so one looks to their friends, or the internet, to find the best tattoo shop; I’m no exception. When I moved back to Colorado, I asked my friends and family to see which shop they recommended. On three different occasions Preying Mantis was brought up. Now I want to preface this by writing, I don’t just take anyone’s word for it when it comes to tattoos. I look at the work that has been done and make my assessment from there. When I saw the great work that had been done on my cousin’s body, I was highly impressed.



When I called to schedule my appointment, I was greeted with professionalism and friendliness. Further, when I entered the shop, I received the same courtesy. I like to feel like I’m welcomed when I’m ‘shopping’ around and the staff at Preying Mantis didn’t disappoint.



My appointment was with Galen S. and I spoke with him about the tattoo that I wanted and the location, etc. Since then, we have spent more than 40 hours on my sleeve and I couldn’t be happier with my choice. Throughout those 40 hours, I’ve come to know all of the staff—viewed their work and professionalism—and I have absolutely no reserves about recommending any of the tattooist to my friends, family and strangers.
