SOUTHERN HOMES SIMPLY THE WORST!!

I wish I had read these reviews before building a home with this company. All I can say is, do yourself a favor and ""DO NOT BUILD WITH SOUTHERN HOMES""

I am building a home and paying CASH, and they're quick to collect the money, but would not fix a thing after the cement is poured.

They throw the ball to one another and they DO NOT CARE TO PLEASE THE CUSTOMER AT ALL!!!

I am VERY DISAPPOINTED with SOUTHERN HOMES, when signing the contract they promise you the world but when the time comes to point out the things that you aren't happy with, THEY WON'T CHANGE IT, nor TRY to FIX IT

I was going to BUILD ANOTHER HOME after this one was completed, but, with such a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE, will NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE.

There's MORE NEGATIVE REVIEWS about this company in the internet, and reading them (although a bit late now) I believe them 100% and my advise to you if thinking about building with them, DON'T DO IT!!!

Save yourself the aggravation, these people are not there to make a customer happy BECAUSE THEY SIMPLY DON'T CARE!!

If I could give them a negative score I would give them -100 stars. This company builds homes that are of no quality. They did not put green board in many of the bathrooms in our development. People have redone their bathrooms on their own. They are horrible to try to get to come out and fix their mistakes. You are better off buying a preowned home they built than a brand new one built for you. At least the pre-owned homes have had time to address their shotty work.

This company has a deal with a program designed to make first-time home ownership(FTHO) a reality. What it really does is prey on the poor. They have you sign a contract that states you will pay for the home within 30 days of signing the contract, but no one except their legal people know of this fine print. They then will collect money from you for up to a year before breaking ground. They will build your home where the afore mentioned FTHO program can not help you in any way. Then they will keep ALL of your money and the house stating you broke the contract. Try to sue them if you want, but you're gonna spend 4K or more and you can't get that 4K back in Florida...and they KNOW IT.
