The Vanguard School is an international boarding school that provides academic education to students in grades three through 12. It has a more than 75-acre sports facility that includes soccer fields, junior Olympic size swimming pool, gym, weight room and exercise trails. The school is accredited by the Florida Council of Independent Schools and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. It offers a wide range of courses, such as reading, English, math, science, social studies, physical education, life management, business, computer application and industrial arts. The school provides various student activities that include intramural sports, National Honor Society, cross-country running, biology club, school newspaper and student government association. The Vanguard School is a member of the National Association of Independent Schools and is located in Lake Wales, Fla.
