My 87-year-old mother called to have a leaky kitchen faucet replaced. Plumber showed up with his brother-in-law in tow and criticized the quality of the replacement faucet. Then instead of doing a simple R & R he claimed there were other issues. Worked for 30 minutes and had to leave for parts. Frick and Frack showed up over an hour later and messed around for another couple of hours. Faucet worked for a day and then the hot water barely ran. I asked my mother to show me the bill and it was over $1000! $300 of which was for his helper! After I complained he refunded $300 and cleared the line of whatever debris he knocked loose then left in a tiff. A week later the hot water went back to low flow. Not only is he incompetent he is amoral for taking advantage of the elderly.

The work done was good. However, I recommend you get a firm price up front. They said they would call me with a price after doing a little digging. They never called. Total hours on the job was 2 hours for 2 men. They wanted to charged $500. I talked them down to $450.
