The wait time is horrendous. Even with an appointment I have to wait an hour to be called into a room and then it's another hour to be seen. It doesn't seem like the right hand knows what the left hand is doing there either. The doctor failed to tell me of about a problem that showed up on an X-ray until 4 months later when I went in for a problem. The office staff is really slow and they don't seem to want to do their job getting a simple authorization to see a specialist. It's been over a month and four phone calls later and nothing but the run around and they still haven't done it. I've never had problems like this with other doctors offices.

They said I had to fax in a prior authorization from CVS in order to get my meds. CVS faxed them twice after double checking the fax number and they still said they never got it.

I was seen by Gregorio Sosa, PA-C, working at Dr. Javier Rios' medical office in Lake Elsinore, CA. Mr. Sosa was the rudest professional I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. After waiting 2 hours past my appointment time, I was taken to a room in which I waited another 30 minutes. Mr. Sosa entered my room and proceeded to call me by the wrong name. He then grilled me on my medical history, despite the fact that I had been there less than 1 month ago. He asked who prescribed my current medication and seemed befuddled when I told him that it was another PA at the same location. Next, he asked me why I was out of medication so early, even though it had been a full month. He was incapable of doing the simple math that 2 pills twice a day for 1 month equates to 60 pills. I actually had to explain to him that March has 31 days, hence the reason I was back a day earlier than I was the previous month. He heavily insinuated that because I was there for a refill, I was abusing my medication. Suffice it to say, I will not be going back to any of their office locations again. If you are looking for a PCP, I recommend you steer far away from Chicago Clinica Medica. You will be glad you did.
