After checking with other Mortgage companies about refinancing my current mortgage loan, I placed a call to Kiel Mortgage in Laguna Beach and spoke with Ken Castro. I was able to close very quickly and with an interest rate that was better than I was hearing from other Mortgage companies. My wife and I would like to express our sincere appreciation to the entire team at Kiel Mortgage located in Laguna Hills, CA for all their efforts done on our recent home refinance. This is the second refinance we did with Ken Castro and his company, both of which resulted in excellent results for us. The service we received, from the initial communications via email/phone to the final closing, was outstanding. I particularly want to commend Mark Bennett for his excellent customer service; both he and Ken kept me up to date immediately on any changes or requirements and I was never in the dark about anything regarding the loan or the process.
The secure online process is a great way to do the paperwork and allowed us to close the loan in less than 3 weeks, which included all inspections required by the VA. If you have done a VA loan before, you know how long it can take sometimes. Everything was scheduled according to my needs and everything that was needed, either via email or phone, was done very promptly, sometimes within minutes. The final paperwork for closing was brought to us in our home, in the evening, which was very convenient. We got a great rate on the refinance loan, which the bank holding our mortgage (US Bank) had previously denied to us based on a faulty “desktop” appraisal process, and received the funds for the refinance within a few days. If you are in the market for a home loan, I highly recommend Ken Castro’s company without reservation. You will get excellent customer service, the best rate available, and the loan will get done quickly, efficiently, and very importantly, at your schedule and convenience.

Ken Castro @ Kiel Mortgage did the impossible for my first home purchase. I am veteran and was trying to buy a home in Corona, the home loan limitations for veterans in Riverside is $417k, Ken was able to get me a loan for well over that limit. I don’t know how he did it, but he was the only that was able to after contacting some of the other top mortgage companies on yelp. My loan was completed efficiently and Ken was in constant contact with updates and “next steps”. I would highly recommend Ken Castro and Kiel Mortgage for any veteran who wants to be taken care of by a veteran.

I worked with Ken Castro and Mark Bennett, both were very knowledgeable of the VA requirements and overall process. They always knew what was needed and ensured they gave you advance notice to get everything together. Even when some additional debt popped up unexpectedly, both Ken and Mark handled the issues professionally and added the debt to the process, making the loan work. You always felt you were part of the process and knowledgeable, not just waiting to see what develops.

I was sitting in my work truck with down time, and I clicked a link from a military Web site to refinance my loan. It was simple and I sent it in. Within 10 minutes I recieved a call from Ken. I was surprised and skeptical but after talking to him and learning he was a fellow Marine my attitude quickly changed.

During the process, I recieved a call from my previous lender on how she could get me a new rate. Well, she fell short and the rate she was getting me was the "best " I could get and that I should jump on it before it went higher. Ken had already got me a lower rate and saved me $200 a month on my current mortgage where she was barley saving me $100.
