I don't know how they make there bread but it's awesome .the shrimp is always great .whatever they pay those kids in the back in the awful heat making these delicious sandwiches is not enough! They say they say the one in Broussard is the same but it's not , I love this lafayette legend!

I'd kill for one of their oyster PO boy's right now…

I went to this place all throughout college, and also as an employee of the university. The food was always consistently exceptional, and the wait was never that long. What I generally get is the oyster "overstuffed" po-boy. I live in Texas now, and when I am in the area, I always stop in. I promise that nothing compares to it. I certainly cannot find anything anywhere near comparable to this place in Texas, and I am an Acadiana native. If this place isn't Zagat rated, it should be. Don't quote me on this, but I believe I saw it on the Food Network's Top Restaurants for the Best sandwiches throughout the country. I was up late one night, and I happened upon it. Needless to say, I was proud of the place I call home. But, it's no real shock to me.

Old Tyme has the best po-boys in the area. All the ingredients are fresh and the bread is perfect. Don't miss their shrimp po-boy or the meatball po-boy. Delicious!!
