My grandmother was admitted to this hospital with kidney pain. After she was admitted, and they put her heplock and such in, I was able to see her at her room. When I walked in, I noticed about 8-10 drops of blood on the floor on the left side of the bed, on the right side, under the box that they put used needles in, there were blood drops also. My grandmother was told that they were going to do a CT scan, while she was away; she was to receive medication through the IV for her pain. Within 10 minutes she came back to her room. A few minutes later, the nurse came in and was pretty rude to my grandmother, she proceeded to pretty much call my grandmother a liar and told my grandmother “You only received the medication 7 minutes ago, there’s no way that it would have effected you yet, and even if it did effect you, it wouldn’t bring your pain level all the way down to 0 like your saying.” As if she knew how my grandmother was feeling. After the results of the CT scan came in, they told my grandmother that it wasn’t her kidneys, that it was her lower lumbar that was giving her pain. I left the room for my grandmother to get dressed, while I was in the lobby, I was informed that the hospital had just brought in 3 people who told the staff that they had been diagnosed with H1N1 the previous day. The hospital allowed the family to walk around in the lobby with the rest of the patients families; they switched chairs numerous times, used the restroom, left their drink in the lobby, and then hit both vending machines on the way out. ARE YOU SERIOUS???? One day later, my grandmother was seen at her PCP, who told her that it was not her back, it was in fact her kidney, and now has a scheduled surgery. I would not recommend this hospital to ANYONE no matter how severe their condition may be.
