I have never written an online review of a restaurant before but felt compelled to do so for The Texas Pie Company.

The establishment is really cute and convenient. Parking is not that bad. However, when I walked in the front door I was approached by a blonde woman with a condescending "Can I help you?". I said, "One, please." I thought she was there to seat me. She then went on to grill me about why I was there. I told her that I planned to have coffee, maybe something to eat and that maybe I wasn't in the right place. She just dismissed me and went back to the kitchen to speak to the employees. Even the girl at the register was unapproachable and spoke like her mouth was full of something.

And to top it off, the pie was horrible (an excessive amount of baking soda in the crust).

I will never go back and will pass this review along to anyone that asks.

I have been eating these pies for nearly 20yrs. Unfortunately I moved and had to rely on someone else to bring them to me in Houston for Thanksgiving - they forgot!!! Had to order from some place else at the last minute, nothing compares to the fresh taste and homemade flavor of these pies. A true delight!

I've had a couple of the casseroles from here and they were fantastic. Love the fact that you can buy them ready-to-eat, ready-to-bake, or frozen. They make great gifts for new parents coming home from the hospital. I have bought a few of them frozen to give as welcome home gifts.

cuddles missed the point & must be difficult to please.....this place has the best pies (and casseroles) you've ever eaten.....their claim-to-fame is not being a restaurant, just the best pies and comfort foods all wrapped and ready to be enjoyed at home or with friends.....try it ....you'll be right back.

no pie company in my opinion..looks nice from the outside but i was looking forward to the smell of fresh pies..nothing all cold and ceran wrapped..yay.. i want fresh pie.. this i can buy at the store.. got a sandwich.. wasnt special either i could have done better at home with less and saved money.I just expect more from a place that looks that nice from the outside and calls itself pie company...looks can be deceiving.that is sad too cause if it would have been fresh and more *homy* i am sure we would have went back..

Desserts are great. Take home Casseroles are great as well. Sandwich meal are nothing special but for the price it is what I expected.
