My son has visited so many doctors since he was a baby, and this was the first time I have experienced such a rude and disrespectful doctor and a irresponsible nurse. He had his tonsils removed and his nasal pathway stretched. After surgery, he had an allergy reaction with the antibiotics and I tried calling the doctor's office and the assistant nurse told me that she would get in touch to find anther medicine. She never called and I had to call several times throughout two days, and I even left a few voicemails. My last resort was to go to my son's primary care physician and she helped me out. Today I went for a check up and I guess Dr. Nowlin was having a bad day or I do not know what, but he was upset that my son would not open his mouth and that his children do. He even threw the tongue depressor stick in the thrash in a harsh way that made me upset and angry. That has never happened to me and my child before. He even argued with me that my son had behavior issues because of him not wanting to open his mouth after two weeks of surgery. From what I know, not one single child likes the tongue depressor stick and would cry and whine. He has no patience as a pediatrics doctor at all. I was in disbelief of his attitude towards my child. He has no right to tell me how to be a parent either. We also argued that when the time my son got an allergic reaction, that in his computer is showed that their was a prescription and that his assistant nurse called. First of all, as a worried parent, I would have the phone with me and hopefully wait for a call and of course, that did not happen. The nurse never even left a voicemail and I did not get a miss call either. Dr. Nowlin then went to speak with the nurse and he came back saying I was right. I do not understand how this place can have a bad service known that is it specialized clinic for nose, ears, and throat. I am super displeased with their ethics as well. I know that not all kids are the "perfect" patient but they will try to make the child feel that everything would be okay. Sadly, Dr. Nowlin does not had that character when it comes to dealing with children who do not want to open their mouths. I would not recommend this clinic or doctor at all.
