My expience with Dr.Louis and his staff has been wonderful so far. I relocated here 2 years ago, and his staff was very helpful and friendly. They mailed me the paper work before I arrived so I could have it ready when I arrived for my first visit. It was a scary thing to move to Killeen with a new OB/GYN when I was already 28 weeks preganant and knew I would need a c-section. But, Dr. Louis was extremely friendly and attentaive with me and my husband. Now that I am expecting my 3rd child I've returned to Dr.Louis again for my prenantal care and have complete confidence in him and his staff.

Very rude.

I went to his office once & he gave me a lecture about how I was living a bad life & shouldn't have any children. I mentioned that I was legally married but had not seen my husband since 2008 & couldn't afford a divorce so he told me how bad it was that I had a relationship. I tried defending myself but every time I said anything about my husband having a new wife or children while married to me he didn't want to hear it. So I look like a horrible person while my husband is the innocent victim. I just wanted to get a pap smear. Wtf....

Worst experience of my life

I went to Dr. Louis because I didn't want to go to a big hospital. That was the worst decision I could have made. This is my first pregnancy and I had no idea my insurance only allows for 2 ultrasounds. The first ultrasound I had at 13 weeks and the second I had at 17 weeks. I told his nurse that I did not want to have my ultrasound at 17 weeks because I knew it would be too soon to tell the sex of my baby... and I desperately wanted to know. I asked her if there was a way I could wait until at least 19 weeks and she absolutely refused to do so saying the results were needed ASAP. Needless to say at the 17 week ultrasound, we couldn't tell the sex of my baby. I saw Dr. Louis again at my 20 week appointment and it was only then that it was revealed to me I was only allowed 2 ultrasounds. I am so upset that I do not know the sex of my baby because his staff's refusal to do what the patient requests. My baby still doesn't have an identity because they don't know what they're doing.

I cannot recommend

His office staff is fantastic. The nurses, the office manager, and the receptionist are all wonderful. However, I regret to say that I cannot recommend Dr. Louis. I went to him for a gynecological problem and he recommended surgery. I had the surgery without getting a second opinion. When he recommended an aggressive follow up treatment, I decided to go for a second (and third) opinion. I found that I was correct in being uncomfortable with the aggressive treatment as it isn't recommended nor effective for my problem. As for the surgery I had? Totally unnecessary. I've been told by two doctors I've seen since then that there hasn't been medical evidence in twenty years to support that the surgery I had would treat my condition. In other words, I had unnecessary surgery and I am now permanently infertile. If I could turn back the hands of time, I would have found another doctor when I first felt uncomfortable with the treatment plan laid out for me by Dr. Louis.

The good with the bad

Dr. Louis CAN be abrasive, however so can I. Turns out he has a great sense of humor, he's just a very direct guy. He also attended two of the best schools in the country, so he is very well educated. There have been several instances where my primary care Dr. was not doing what I needed and Dr. Louis immediately picked up his cell phone and had a few stern words with his office. I was always seen by my primary care Dr. the same day as soon as Dr. Louis would call. It is kind of nice to see a Dr. care enough to pick up the phone and personally make a disgruntled phone call on your behalf. Ultimately, if you want a GREAT DOCTOR, go see doctor Louis. If you don't like something going on SPEAK UP, and I would gladly see Dr. louis for any and all of my future pregnancies.

Dr Luis is ok

Dr Luis is an ok doctor. The one thng I hated about him was that he always got on me about my weight. Before I was pregnant I wasnt overweight not even close. Ive always been thin so I dont think it was nessasary for him to always get on me about it and make me want to cry everytime I left his office. After a while he kinda grew on me and he's been pretty decent about any questions I have. He just always seems to be in a hurry thoe. I dont know I probaly wouldn't choose him as my Dr next time.

Unhappy Patient

Dr.Louis is horrible. He is not sympathetic or understanding. He is not very good with answering questions and he does not take the time needed to make you feel comfortable. I hated him. I cannot express how traumatized I was after leaving his office. Go to Scott and White!!! It's worth the drive!!!
