My family and I purchased carpet in our home due to cat urine. I asked the sales rep as well as the technicians installing the carpet if I had to do anything special to the cement before laying the carpet and they said no now 3 months later when the weather started getting hotter the smell of cat urine started coming thru.... I had a carpet cleaning company come (to clean brand new carpet no pets) and inform me that their needed to be killz or a treatment laid to treat the cat urine so now the brand new carpet is ruined and the house of floors is stating the sales rep verbally told told us to clean the floor (not true) not in the contract either. I taking this further the worst service ever!

Gina was very helpful and the install guys were great.

I used this place to change all the linoleum in my home to tile. I decided to save some money by taking it out myself. No Problem there. However, the thing that disappointed me was the fact that they use local contractors to do the job. The guy they sent over lost his partner to an arrest in a bar brawl. So he brings his wife to help him. In many places he misaligned the tile so it wasn't centered. He also did not center my rectangle design for my dinner table under the light fixture. Wouldn't be a problem if the light wasn't set in a recessed octagon shape about 3 feet in diameter. Now when I put the table in the middle of the tile it is not centered on the light. AAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! On top of that, the tiles are not level to each other. The corners of some are about 1/8" higher than the three around it (I used a square setup). I also decided to not have any transition pieces between the tile and the carpet of the other rooms. AGAIN, he messed that up to. He cut my carpet short and now the ends of it are frying off. Doesn't help that the shoddy workmanship also entices my 1 year old daughter to pick at the carpet and try to eat it.



One thing they did do well was that after I called about the carpet they came to stretch it (which didn't work) and my wife told them about the back door area not being centered. They did send a different guy (at my wife's profound request) to fix it. Which he did do.



So as a result, I am replacing my carpet with hardwood floors from "The Best Little Floor House In Texas". Two things that sold me on them right away (1) they give a lifetime guarantee on product AND labor, which HOF has only a 1 year, (2) they have their own installers. Not to mention they gave me a great deal with a "no interest for 36 months" ahead of the deals schedule. I will write a review after this job has been done under their name for review purposes.
