Helping my mom buy a car from across the country was a tall task, and also working with car dealers from Houston, to Austin, to San Antonio, Dodge Country's internet sales staff, specifically, Tamara, who I worked with, was the only one who got back to me quickly, and was willing to work with us on pricing. Professional, responsive, and helpful, are how I would describe it, and for that, I am most grateful. Then, when my mother arrived, she was to meet Raul, who my mom said was very nice and helpful. Now my mom has a Scion XB with low miles, and she likes her new car! Thanks Dodge Country, for making this car buying experience so positive.

If you only make one good decision this year, let it be to not shop at Dodge Country in Killeen.

I'd like to start by saying that I am not writing this review because I couldn't come to an agreement on a car loan. I know my credit isn't good which is way I approached the dealership with an approved loan. But the dealership refused to honor this loan because they didn't want to pay the fees associated with it..

That is my first problem with their service. They were so unwilling to sacrifice part of their profit margin that they refused to sell me a car that was not financed through their finance company. My loan wasn't good enough even though I was approved for a loan much higher than the cost of the vehicle I wanted to purchase.

The second issue was their actual customer service. I was helped by a salesman who goes by the name of "T". When I use the term helped, I'm using it very loosely. I guess a more appropriate term would be ignored, or possibly just lied to.

I was told I would be called back Monday evening. I waited... and waited.. and then called the dealership right before closing time. He had forgotten about me. So he said he would have an answer for me Tuesday morning. So I waited until 11:59 before calling. Yup, you guessed it, he forgot again. So I was told, "I'll get with my manager right now and call you right back. I swear on my honor and as a man, I'll call you right back." I never got that call.

At this point I know I'm not going to buy a damn thing from Cleo Bay or "T" but I won't be treated poorly because I don't have 870 credit score. I drove up to the dealership and asked to speak to T in person. He's not there. He's in Dallas at a training meeting where I hope to god they are teaching honesty because he could use a lesson, possibly two.

I don't subscribe to stereotypes. I refuse to believe that all car salesman are poor excuses for human beings that are actively attempting to screw you over. But I was treated like crap and strung along for three days. Three days I could have been shopping at a dealership where they actually want your business.

If you are willing to spend an extra 30 minutes to deal with sales people who might actually give a damn, drive to Temple. Mac Haik returned my phone call in 8 minutes.
