Re: Nora Helmer & Salon Paradise

Dear Nora (Angie?): I don't know what my church has to do with any part of your service but it does teach me to be nice to people like you. You have judged me after only seeing me one time and took it upon yourself to complain on behalf of my other clients as well, who have come to me for some time. And only one of them was LDS. You make it sound like I stood around doing nothing until I finally got around to serving you when I was really getting things set up for you. I was focused on you the whole time unless the phone rang or someone walked in. If I was distracted for any other reason it was because my husband had been gone for 4 1/2 months and was coming home later that day and I've been incredibly busy with work. But since you have diliberately tried to embarass and humiliate me, my business and church.... Oh, my church! Yeah. I don't remember us even talking about it, but since you brought it up, I'm Mormon because I like the way they live their lives and I didn't go to You Tube because Mormon's are the experts about the Mormons and I get impatient listening to anyone else try to talk about us. Any material I have in the waiting area is fairly inconspicuous and I also allow other churches (like the Jehovah's Witnesses) to put out there newsletters and I will unless it's attacking another church. But I would like to know where your hatred for Mormon's comes from. I explained at the beginning of the service that the french tips are not included in the Groupon and neither was the shellac removal and that they would be extra. The shellac removal took another 30 minutes of my precious time and I still had to file it off in the end.) Although I didn't give you the exact dollar amount and you didn't ask for a total. I have had problems with some of the polishes being too thick and my uv lamp and it did take longer than I would have wanted. And even though you've disrespected me, I do thank you for your input. And I'm leaving your message to show what kind of person you are. Because really it is discrimination and inappropriate.

This is my first time writing ...

This is my first time writing a review of this kind but I feel I should because this is the best place. First of all, guys should check this place out. It is as cheap as the chain haircut places but you DON'T leave thinking "I could have done this myself." Instead of just being dragged to the chair, getting a quick buzz, and paying, these girls really listen and do EXACTLY what you want. I leave feeling really good about myself every time.

I went to get my hair cut and colored before a big dance I was going to. She was friendly and did a amazing job! Exactly what I pictured/told her; she even styled it beautifully. I then later came in to get feathers and tinsel. They had the largest variety for the cheapest I have seen. For everything I always get; its so cheap! I switched from my regular hair dresser to Salon Paradise for the fantastic service and very talented people.

My Dad was a hairstylist for 38 years. He retired 3 years ago and I have spent years searching and spending a lot of money to find a stylist as good as him. Kim is an amazing stylist, she is very passionate about her profession and has devoted a lot of her time and talents for the community.

Nice shop, friendly professional atmosphere. Highly recommended. I have regular hair cuts, color, pedicures and waxing done and they've given their best service every time I come in.

Beautiful shop. Friendly, professional staff. The hot stone pedicure was the BEST I've ever had. This is not a 30 minute pedicure. This is Paradise! The prices are very reasonable and the shop has a classy feel to it. Very clean and comfortable atmosphere. Will definitely be back and tell all my friends. Already thinking ahead to Christmas gifts. The owner is very conscientious and my nails looked great. The service was excellent.

AWFUL SERVICE!

What was supposed to be a relaxing 2 hour mani pedi turned into a THREE + hour ordeal! The owner, a member of the LDS Church (Mormon), was very distracted and continuously went and talked to other customers and chatted with her Mormon friends instead of doing my nails. Because she took so long getting around to doing my nails, she made the next girl wait for over a half hour after her appointment start time before finally getting to her too! She left me sitting there while she went and took care of two other customers when she knew that I had an engagement that I needed to get to as well. She also didn't tell me until after we were done that it was going to cost an extra $20 on top of what I had already paid (I got the Groupon Deal for a mani-pedi). She is way understaffed, was distracted and unfocused the whole time, and it was anything BUT a relaxing mani-pedi! She seemed like a nice, simple lady, but she was not focused on the clients she was with, she was impolite to multiple customers, and was very unprofessional. The manicure was average at best and the pedicure was below average. Both were chipped within a week even though I paid extra for the shellac polish. There was Mormon propaganda in the sitting area (I get the feeling that even if she watched http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ac_fLUHiBw&feature=watch-vrec all the way through, she still wouldn't believe actual facts and history). I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS SALON!
