Killed my 14 month old Bernese mountain dog. Left her out in the heat for hours with no supervision. Absolutely tragic and negligent. On top of that, they’ve been nothing short of difficult and evasive. Disgusting. Do not bring your dog to this kennel masquerading as a kill shelter

My heart is breaking when I think of the suffering my dog went through. She was left outside an undetermined, but long time and found unresponsive under a small ramp. She probably crawled there trying to find a little shade. There were three employees there, but one was grooming dogs. Also I have been told by Dr. Hecker that one of them was only 17 and she was sent to wash dogs. This left one employee to run the office and watch the dogs. I was told there was about 50 dogs by the owner, but Animal Control said there were 58 dogs that were in the outdoor kennel area and 42 in the indoor kennel area. The vet, Dr. Hecker was adjacent to the kennel and treated Lun. In his words, it was "negligence". Luna's temp was 107.9 after Dr. Hecker had started intravenous fluids and a cooling bath. The owners have made no efforts to try and do the right thing. Be careful leaving your pets here. I also recommend reviewing the waiver very closely before signing it.

I highly recommend Winding River. Dr. Dan Hecker is my dogs vet and he explains everything so, that I understand and is very good with my dogs. I also, use them for boarding. My dogs have so much fun. They stay down at the kennel at night and during the day they play in doggie daycare with the other dogs. I got to watch them on their web cams. It was nice because I worry aboout my dogs when I'm gone. Now I can watch them and know they are enjoying themselves. I recommend Winding River to everyone.

I left my dog there for the first time and i was very nervous and the staff there was very understanding and I called to check up on my dog and they answered everytime and when I came to pick my dog up he didn't even notice that I was there to pick him up. He was having some much fun playing with another dog. I highly recommmend Winding River Pet Village.
