Very disappointed with the lack of communication from this company concerning an order I placed an order on April 8 2015 for a Luminara rustic brown primitive candle. I had to contact them two or three times to get a status on my order. They did finally respond and advised me that they were waiting on the candle to arrive. They did offer to send me a candle a size up from what I ordered for the same price. It took me a day or so to respond to that offer and when I told them to please send larger one, they advised that the one I ordered had came in the day before and they had shipped it. When the candle arrived I opened the package to find a box with a totally different name brand on it. It wasn't Luminara it was Liown. It wasn't rustic brown either. More of a tan color. It had been rolled in cinnamon powder (yes like the spice cinnamon) giving it a cinnamon scent. The candle I ordered was supposed to be vanilla scented, no big deal on scent difference as you can't really smell it anyway, but the cinnamon on the candle is a bit annoying. It was also supposed to be a dark brown, rustic brown, and this is definitely not dark brown. I thought maybe they used a box from a different candle and that maybe the candle was really Luminara, but no the bottom of the candle said Liown as well. I researched the internet to see that a few years ago Liown and Luminara were associated, however they dissolved their partnership and are separate now. Seems to me that if battery operated candles had to order my candle that it wouldn't have been a Liown that I received. Also I paid $55.00 for this thing and am not even sure it is what I was supposed to receive. All in all I like the candle and it suits my needs for where I placed it in my house. All of my frustration could have been eliminated if they would have responded to the three message I sent after I received my package questioning the order. I will NOT do business with this company again. I will continue shopping with Amazon where I have much better luck and great customer service!

Do NOT buy from BatteryOperatedCandles.net! ESPECIALLY AVOID THIS COMPANY IF YOU'RE PLANNING A WEDDING. You do NOT want to deal with their terrible, rude customer reps during your special time. If it says something is in stock on line, it probably isn't. My order was never even processed and no one bothered to contact me. I had my PayPal confirmation, so I thought everything was fine and my things were on the way. RUN TO THE NEAREST COMPETITOR!

This company is AWFUL! Buyer Beware!! I ordered something nearly 2 months ago and never received it. Nor did I receive any communication whatsoever that they had cancelled my order. After several unreturned emails to them requesting my order's whereabouts, they finally sent me an email. They begin their email by calling me an insulting name, then going on to say that they had cancelled my order, but never informed me of it. This is particularly disturbing since it was a gift for my Mother, and she's been expecting it for some time. I even told them on the order form it was a gift. The email was extremely unprofessional and rude. I strongly urge others to consider this review before taking your chances and dealing with people that like who call customers names! Shame on you 'Battery Operated Candles'!
