Run away fast from this company. They don’t stand behind their work. Gave me sod that was half dead at installation. Said water twice a day. After a month it’s still dead. Installed a 5 port irrigation valve that leaks a lot of water when the system is off. No warranty/guarantee, they told me to get someone else to repair over the phone finally. They don’t return phone calls. Paid them over 2K and they won’t resolve the issues.

Poor performance, didn't get what I paid for.

Hired Dix to landscape my front yard. Received an agreed upon quote that included stump grinding a very large stump in the front yard, planting a Red Rocket Crepe Myrtle, a pallet of sod, and reconfiguring the sprinkler bubblers to the two new trees.
They did a great job planting the Red Rocket and laying the sod and plants around it. The stump, previously ground to grass level by the tree removal Co., was never ground down. They merely tossed sod over the hump with a bubbler sticking out of the middle?
Called to complain that the job was incomplete. Owners said the stump was bigger than they planned on and they weren't going to grind it. They were done. Good Luck. (Note: we received similar quotes but decided to go with Dix because he was a Local, and I like to spend my money in town). The quote specifically said grind stump!
I stopped payment on the check.
They returned to grind the stump. But in the process lost the end of the bubbler that was supposed to go to the other new tree.
We reissued the check.
Held back my review because they did return.
Well it's now summer my Red Rocket Crepe Myrtle has bloomed white!
Called and complained about the Crepe, and was told too bad. Also said we were rude. I guess complaining about poor performance is considered rude.
If you need some sod and a few flowers I'm sure there fine. Beyond that you're taking your chances.

Dix owner came by and reviewed the project and listened to my concerns. The following day his crew came in and fixed all the problems to our satisfaction.

This kind of prompt diligent follow up was appreciated and I am obliged re visit my review

Very Disappointed,

If I could give less than one star I would.

Short version... Overpromises, under delivers, not inexpensive, does shoddy work and the owner acted at all times like he was doing us a favor.

Long Version.... Was quoted by Dix to spray roundup and remove all weeds, a stump and some bushes and provide us with new sod on all rear of property. Was told Nov 1st that he job would be completed by Nov. 15th

Crew arrived early November worked four hours removing some of the grass and weeds (not all) then took a siesta on the front lawn and left at 1:00

When my husband called to ask when they would come back to finish. The owner said "sometime after thanksgiving" when my husband pointed out his Nov 15th promise he got defensive and said" I have been doing this for over forty years, it's been raining I can't control the weather!"

When my husband asked if he could at least shoot for completion before Thanksgiving inasmuch as my back yard is all torn up and I have family flying in for the holiday, he said "I will see what I can do."

Yeah he didn't show up till a week after the holidays again blaming the weather etc. and reminded me again "I have been doing this for over forty years!"

Finally completed the job at the end of Nov. Used very little top soil, actually laid sod right over pebbles, left me with several patches of my old "weedy" grass, several bare patches, very poorly laid sod and no care instructions whatsoever.

Maybe he cared forty years ago, but, he sure doesn't now.
