From my HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE, Mueller Roofing is not reliable not honorable and worse, they don’t seem to care. They do not return phone calls, they do not show up when scheduled and they do not honor their warranty.On Sept. 25, 2014 Adam from Mueller Roofing came to my home and gave me a written proposal for my gutters, downspouts and some flashing work I needed on my home in Evergreen Park. I asked him when they would be able to perform the work and Adam said they were available the second week in October. Two days later I called to notify them that I accepted their proposal and would like to get scheduled asap as I needed this done before winter set in. No one, including Phil, the owner, returned any of my numerous calls to get this job scheduled. Either they just don’t need the work, or they’re too lazy to be responsible.After much aggravation, I finally got scheduled for Oct. 10th at 9 am. I was up, dressed and waiting, watching out the window at the scheduled time. The operative work here proved to be WAITING. I wasted the entire day waiting for them to show up, but they never did. NO show! NO phone call! I was left sitting here not knowing what was going on and again no one returned my numerous phone calls. The next day I was out running errands and I came home at 12:45 to find them working on my home without ever having notified me! Then I found out they had shown up with the wrong materials and were missing downspouts I had contracted with them for. They did what they could and had to return another day…another nightmare AND their carelessness would come back to bite me in the ass, and wallet!A few weeks later when I had the gutters cleaned, I noticed that one of the downspouts was too short and water drains in at my foundation. Since Mueller has a written 10 year warranty on their work, I called. To my disbelief, I was informed there would be a $150.00 additional charge to fix what was clearly their mistake!!!!On researching reviews on them, this all appears to be their standard. After reading their many bad reviews, I am one of many left sitting stewing in my own anger. Mueller’s standard response on all the complaints is “miscommunication”. Do your research on this company before you hire them and get stuck sitting around waiting for workers that don’t show and don’t have the courtesy to call to let you know. It is impossible to speak with anyone within the company because you will only get their answering service.

Mueller's end product is good - we had a new roof and gutters installed spring 2010 - but it's very difficult to get someone to come out to complete warranty work. It takes weekly phone calls over the course of at least a month before someone shows up - unless you tell them you think you have a new problem, then someone will show up within a week. Go with another roofing company that can do the job AND respond to follow-up calls.
