Provided by YP.comWillow Trace is a beautiful community filled with beautiful people. The people in the Willow Trace community have pot-luck lunches and other activities that bring them together like family. For the past 3 years some of the residents of Willow Trace have planted beautiful vegetable gardens in the large planters provided to them on the property. Not only do the vegetable gardens create a sense of a community working together, it also provides the residents with fun in the sun tending their crops, and fresh veggies all summer long.... Here comes the bad news....Just yesterday the residents of Willow Trace were told that all the vegetable plants in all the planters have to be "pulled up", because management believes that the appearance of flowers would be better for the community, than the vegetable plants that the little old ladies poured their blood, sweat, and now tears into. Gardening is a cost-effective way for the retirement community to get fresh veggies in their diets on a fixed income. I think management needs to leave their vegetable plants alone. It's about more than just vegetable plants to some people.
