Love love love everything about this place!!!! Fun staff amazing food favorite restaurant in town !!!!

My family and I absolutely love Hakata!! The server is always kind and the food is always delicious!

I agree with all the comments below - This place blows Shogun out of the water. The habachi is amazing and the chefs interact with the table terrificly. Great entertainment for children too. The shrimp is to die for!!!! And the staff is super friendly and attentive. The prices are very close to those of Shogun.

Great restaurant all the way around. The folks who work there are fabulous! I love the beef tataki as an appitizer followed by the firecracker roll. The sushi chefs are the best - if you can describe it, they can make it. It's a local family who owns it and we love to support local. Don't forget to ask for the crab salad - its one of a kind.

Great service, wonderful staff very polite and knowledgable. Food is amazing, the sushi is incrediable abd habachi just as good. Better than sho guns by far and atmosphere is great for a nice evening.

food was good sushi was great and chef was entertaining and experienced. that being said i was not really impressed with the cleanliness of the restaurant overall, it was fair, just not as nice as most Japanese steakhouses given that you pay so much to eat there ...

It has been nearly 18 years since we last had the pleasure to visit this wonderful restaurant and the food and service was just as delicious and good as we remembered. Be prepared to take home your leftovers and enjoy them later or the next day. I had the fillet mignon and shrimp, and it was done to perfection. I didn't leave any leftovers but my wife and kids had some that I enjoyed the next day. I was stationed at Camp Lejeune until April of 1992 when we left. A vacation to Disney World and a round about return through Jacksonville brought us back. Someday I hope to return again for more fantastic food. Thanks again.

The food here is excellent and the atmosphere is great. The hibachi chefs were so entertaining my children want to go there every week. Not to mention the service is wonderful and our servers are always extremely attentive. Highly recommend this restaraunt if you are looking for a delicious japanese meal hibachi style!

The Hakata is the best Japanese place in actionville the food is great and the show is one of the most awesome things you will ever see.If you've never been to the hakata then you missing out.

Hakata is the best habatchi restaurant that I have been to. Everything is great there to eat. If you are in Jacksonville don't miss this. The food is better that Shogun, which is also in Jacksonville. Hakata is a hidden treasure, that I wish I would have started going to sooner before I moved away.
