I was involved in an accident with an insured from KAI Advantage Auto on 08/23/2014. Their insured ran a stop sign and struck my car on the drivers side causing over $4,000 in damage (estimates from 2 different shops). I was required to take my car to a KAI Advantage Auto's drive-in estimate shop for them to look at, which I did and I was then told I could take it to any shop of my choice. I never heard back from them so I contacted my insurance company, State Farm to see what the problem was since my calls were never returned from the Claims Adjuster Joshlin Dorden. On 09/24/2014 I was informed that KAI Advantage Auto had issued a check to me for the repairs. To date, 10/07/2014 I have not received it or a copy of their estimate to repair my car.

Yesterday, 10/06/2014, my day off I dropped my car off so that the repairs could begin since I will be without a car for 2 weeks. The repair shop I had dropped my car off at called me today, 10/07/2014 and informed me that they could not repair my car for what KAI Advantage Auto supposedly had issued a check for (around $1,700.00, I still have not seen it). They had finally gotten a copy of the estimate from KAI Advantage Auto after calling Joshlin Dorden several times a day for over a week. The shop I took my car to be repaired at informed me that KAI Advantage Auto only reimburses a fraction of the standard hourly rate for labor, will not use OEM replacement parts and does not guarantee the work required to repair my vehicle to the condition it was before their insured ran a stop sign and struck into my car.

Now, 6 weeks after the accident happened I have been forced to open a claim with my insurance company, State Farm so that I can get my car fixed as it should be, not some cut rate repair that has no guarantee. I will have to pay my deductible and hope that KAI reimburses State Farm.

Why is this allowed to happen in the great State of Illinois. This company should not be allowed to do business in Illinois since they do not offer a product that repairs cars as they should be repaired.

I finally saw the reviews for this company on-line and they do not have anything but HORRIBLE reviews with everyone giving them a 1/5, nothing higher.

Please fine this company or put them out of business, they should not be allowed to write policies that they do not stand behind.

Kai will not responded to claim one of their insured hit my vehicle. This incident is on video. Soon I will post all documentation involving the claim. Kai respond now or the Law will.

the worst insurance ever ever ever!
claim department , Sarah( ph# 847-472-4884) she is very unprofessional.
I had an accident. The claim department after inspection, told me that my car was not hit by another car, when my car is full of scratches which are seen from afar. But I will get where I need, and they will pay not only for the scratches on my car,but for lies as well..

P.S: I still have the pictures taken directly after accident.

Still waiting on a resolution for an incident that happened in October where the client clearly was at fault (rear ended). Only had to pay a deductible under my coverage, but I'm still out $500 until KAI settles with my insurance company. Tried calling before, but the lady on the line was gruff and not particularly helpful.
