At VCOC, Dr. Kanter performs all consultations himself. We are highly specialized in phlebology (vein disorders), and do not offer an array of unrelated procedures; i.e., we do not do liposuction, hair removal, Botox, etc.. VCOC has two full-time, on-site duplex ultrasound systems, and was the first vein disorder center in southern California to offer both advanced "color-flow" imaging for improved accuracy, the first to offer ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy since 1991, and the first to offer endovenous laser treatment for large varicose veins using the FDA-approved, patented Biolitec ELVeS® system.

Services/Products
**Diagnosis and Treatment Of:** *Varicose Veins *Spider Veins *Unwanted Veins on Face, Hands, and Chest *Leg Ulcers VCOC is the vein center most experienced in ultrasound-guided treatment in all of Southern California offering both sclerotherapy and endovenous laser by ultrasound guidance. Dr. Alan Kanter, MD, RVT, FACPh is a pioneer in ultrasound-guided vein treatment. Having practiced phlebology in Orange County for 23 years and published numerous medical journal articles, VCOC's Dr. Alan Kanter is the vein specialist other doctors turn to. Sclerotherapy is one vein removal method available for the treatment of veins on the legs, hands, chest and face. For finer veins Dr. Kanter offers a newer method called VeinGogh which treats veins that are too small for injection. In addition to ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy for the treatment of bulging varicose veins, a procedure which he helped develop and pioneer in the 1990's, VCOC has both endovenous laser (ELVeS "gentle laser") and radiofrequency (VNUS) available for endovenous thermal ablation (EVTA) of large varicose veins.
