Lenoch & Cilek Ace Hardware is the perfect hardware store. It combines incredible, down-home attention to every customer, and the staff will help you with each and every project you are doing/planning. Even if you're only buying a bolt, it doesn't matter. You get wonderful advice, help, and they get to know YOU as their customer. It's big enough to have most everything one needs, yet not a gigantic warehouse of a store. Mary, Mark and so many others make just walking into the store a welcoming experience. I love and appreciate them so much, that even though a fair amount of my purchases is the "hardware" to do some home owner's job, when it comes time to buy a more major purchase, I give those kinds of purchases, too. I do NOT look for a bargain on a drill. I buy what I need at my dear Lenoch/Cilek store. They have been in business in Iowa City since the early 1900's. And it feels like "home" to me.
