The Apparel Lab's mission is to bring high-quality, custom clothing to the community at a lower volume than traditionally available via screen printing and embroidery businesses. We also strive to experiment with new decorating techniques and materials, bringing creative ideas to the market. Starting in 2016, Josh and Alisha Helseth (Salon Fusion and Spa) recognized the need for boutique supply and school spirit wear in the Inver Grove Heights and South St. Paul communities. Using cad-cut vinyl to allow for quick-turn and low volume, this model flourished with customers looking for a quick and highly-customizable clothing option. In 2020, Josh Helseth and Zach Wright expanded the business into its own entity, and The Apparel Lab was officially established. We moved into a 2000sq. ft. facility in Inver Grove Heights, providing much-needed space for embroidery, screen printing, and laser cutting capabilities; along with capacity for medium-to-large scale projects.
