Dr. Akinola received his medical training and graduated with honors in 1990 from Ogun State University in Nigeria, Africa. He has since practiced in many different facets of primary care in many countries. His post-graduate training includes a general surgery internship at the Hospital of St. Raphael (affiliated with the Yale School of Medicine) in New Haven, Connecticut and completion of residency training in family medicine at Lehigh Valley Hospital (affiliated with Penn State University) in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Board certified by the American Board of Family Physicians, Dr. Akinola offers the full spectrum of family medicine practice with a particular interest in womens health.
