I would never ask this person to do any type of job for me again. Called Brian to give me a quote. Good quote, we hired him, he was quick to receive a down payment only to complete a small portion of job and then not completing the other 80% of the job. He did return a portion of the down payment but cost us much valuable time in finding another handy man. This is my first negative report I have ever written.
Again, I would never call upon him.

We hired and confirmed Brian to do an outside, weather sensitive job by end of week on a Saturday. The following Thursday morning I called to ask if it would still be done within the week as promised. I had to leave a message & was hoping to get our supplies he had taken with him returned immediately so as to get someone else same day if he could not do the work on time as promised. The other person was only am available that day & a storm warning is/was in effect for fri-mon. They didn't call back but so few hours later I called, the wife was home. She seems very nice but didn't have answer so said the handyman would call. He did, but he REFUSED to answer if he would still get job done in time frame promised (same week) or when if not on time. We had 4 nice weather days come and go with work not touched, while we waited mind you. His not doing the work as promised left us with a job undone, a storm coming and worries over further possible damage as a result. He did return my materials, but not in time for the other person to do the job, unfortunately. I checked with our city and he is licensed with them, but they said his permit is good even if he doesn't do work as promised. That is why I am writing this. I always believed someone had to be in good standing to KEEP their business licenses but they told me that is not so. It simply means they have paid to be able work in the city, not that they have a good job record. I can't say if his work is good or not since he didn't bother do it. Very sad and disappointed. I am not sure I feel even 1 star is deserved.
