Wonderful office and staff ! This was first time going there and I had a wonderful experience. 5 🌟 !

2 days ago on a Friday while out of town I felt. I have developed a urine infection. My insurance was not active to go to ER. I called my primary care physician but could not reach them. Around 11 at night I was miserable and thought to reach out to Dr. Mahalati. I have not seen her for 2 years but had her personal cell phone number. So I texted her and was shocked when she texted me back asking what is wrong.She agreed to call in antibiotic for me right away. I am fine now thanks to her. Which Doctor would do that?
She treats you like family that's all I can say.

Best staff, caring management , convienece of available laboratory and ultrasound services, open on weekends, same day appointments in case of emergency.
You can not beat that !!

Dr. Mahalati is my wife Doctor.We recently had a baby and it was an awesome experience. I had expressed how I wanted to be hands on during the delivery. We would joke during her appointments that I would pass out and what not. But when the day finally came she honored my wishes and allowed me to be apart of the delivery experience, which is something I would never forget. I am very happy that me and my wife decided to come to Dr. Mahalati.

I usually don't write reviews but after reading some of these. I felt I wanted to say something. I have been a patient of Dr Mahalati for a very long time now. And I can say she is a very hard working Doctor. Her and staff goes way beyond before their patients. We all now we can't please everyone but I think some of these reviews are outrageous. She is a single Doctor in the practice. Her office is open 6 days a week. She also covers multiple hospitals. So everyone should understand that. They would get a call from time to time to reschedule or move their appointments. FYI the staff is very accommodating they usually gives the option to come in the next business! How many office does this. I could go on and on about this office. I see how hard the Doctor and her staff works. I just think it silly for some of the complaints that I have read. Also her staff are full of very sweet girls they always greet me when I come in. I also have the Doctor and the office manager personal cell phone number so I can call or text them at anytime including the weekend.Which office or Doctor does something like that. They also have an office email which I have been able to get in contact with them with. I saw something about their fax. I have sent records to them and they are electronic and they let me know when they recieved. But like I stated in the beginning of my review you can't please everyone. But I have been a patient for years and I honestly dont have anything bad to say about the Doctor or the stuff.

The Doctor is great !!!!!!!! and her staff is wonderful !!!!!!!! Each visit I feel like I visiting my family not my OB/GYN. I have been her patient for sometime now and it just keeps getting better and better. I highly recommend you go see her.

they have to work on purchasing new fax machine, it's very appalling to know that a medical office equipment is broken and w/ this they are earning a simple bad rep that make them look inefficient, I had to call a certain laboratory to their office and vice-versa to check if they had faxed the docs the laboratory needs from me, they allow patients to leave their office w/ inaccurate or missing referral slips???

I owe Dr. Mahalati my life I went in for my annual exam and during my breast exam Dr. Mahalati felt that something was not right. But because I was only 30 years old with no family history we had to order a breast ultrasound first.
When I went for my breast ultrasound I inform the tech that my Doctor did feel an lump. She again ask me if I had family history I told her no than she said insurance will not cover an Mammogram. So she processed with the ultrasound. When I went back to Dr. Mahalati for my follow up the scan was negative. Which I was okay with, but Dr. Mahalati would not give up so she referred me to an breast surgeon. The surgeon than read the films and order Mammogram that also come back normal. But Dr. Mahalati was still not convinced so she had her office manager research a good breast center. Once they found me an good Doctor . Her office set up the appointment called me with the information. I went in had my consultation and then biopsy. No one could believe it came back positive for breast cancer. I am now 32 years old and because of Dr. Mahalati and her wonderful staff. I am a survivor and I am forever grateful for her. Even when everyone was telling me no she fought for me.

So I recently saw Dr. Mahalati after hearing some many things about her office I must say I am very pleased the staff and the Doctor was very welcoming they even offered me some chocolate when I felt lightheaded after getting my blood drawn. It was a one stop of stop shop I was even able to do a pelvic ultrasound in the office. I will be referring all of my family and friends to Dr. Mahalati.

Dr. Mahalati delivered my first baby on 5th Jan 2018. My pregnancy was high risk with lots of issues. I got enormous support from Dr. Mahalati and her team in managing it , making appointments with specialists and doing follow ups with them and also the emotional support which I needed the most. She always extended her professional care with lots of human empathy, care and love. She is excellent for postpartum health care and support. I would always highly recommend her for anyone who is looking for a Supreme care provider OBGN.

I have been a patient of Dr. Mahalati now for about 7 years and I always had a great experience with her and her wonderful staff. Thru out the years I have had other health issues that were non GYN related. And Dr. Mahalati had taken time out of her busy schedule to refer to the correct Doctor. Her office manager also took time out to make the appointment for me. Dr. Mahalati her self than followed up with me to make sure I was happy with the other Doctor which is something she did not have to do. I no longer live in Maryland but I travel to Dr. Mahalati. Her staff also accommodates me . I would never go to any other Doctor, I highly recommend her

I don't usually do this but, I recently went with my wife to her OB appointment just because I wanted to see. Who this Doctor was that she could not stop talking about. I must say I am very impressed her staff was very friendly and polite. Once the Doctor came in she was very attentive she answered all my questions. And with this being our first child I had a lot but she took time and answered all of them without any problems. Once the visit was over she give us her cell in case we have any questions. I am very happy that my wife has found this Doctor to delivery our first child she has made us feel like we are in good hands.

Dr. Mahalati and her team are the best! From day one they have made me and my husband (first time parents) feel comfortable and answered every and any silly questions we had. Unlike most offices they stick to their appointment time and you are not waiting past your appointment time to be seen. Dr. Mahalati and her team also made us feel loved and appreciated with every visit( made us feel like family). It’s always a positive atmosphere with every visit. They also made themselves available for me outside of office hours due to my high risk pregnancy. I couldn’t have asked for a better team. Highly recommend!

Dr. Mahalati is a great doctor. Throughout my pregnancy she was very very responsive to my needs. She made sure I got all the care I needed from the very beginning. She treats each patient like her only patient. I thank God that I have Dr. Mahalati as my Dr. I recommend Dr. Mahalati for every woman and those who are having difficulties with a pregnancy. She is Gods sent!

My wife's first 2 appointments were with Dr. Mahalati. We decided around 8 weeks to switch to a birthing center. We asked for my wife's records to be faxed over for her 12 week appointment. At 10 weeks we called to make sure our records were sent over. Dr. Mahalati's office claimed the fax machine was broken. So, we sent a written request to have our records sent in the mail. When my wife and I showed up for our 12 week appointment, no records were sent. Dr. Mahalati's office claimed they never received the form. Again, they said there fax machine was broken.



I had to drive to her office with a police officer on call before Dr. Mahalati's office said they just got a new fax machine. My wife was finally able to have her appointment. Because I had to handle this, I missed hearing my baby's heart beat.



While this was as distasteful of an experience as I could have had, it did make me very grateful to be going to the Family Health and Birth Center. Dr. Mahalati and her office are clearly a part of America's Medical Machine that insists on putting profits ahead of patients.

I m here today because of Dr. Mahalati. I ve been with her a long time. She helped with our fertility issues, I got pregnant after trying for about two years without help. Then about 6 weeks before my due date, I wasn t feeling much movement from the baby. I called and her secretary/nurse, Chanel, sent me to the Dr. who was at the hospital that day. She could have made an appointment days away, but her instincts were excellent. Dr. Mahalati monitored me, and told me that we had to due an emergency c-section. Everyone acted fast and saved his life. We didn t know it before the c-section, but I had a concealed placental abruptio and both mine and the baby s lives were in danger. He was transferred to the best NICU in the region and is doing great. Thank you Kathy and Chanel.

I am pleased to highly recommend Dr. Kathy Mahalati for OBGYN care. As a professional in continuing medical education, I am keenly aware of the importance of effective patient outcomes. I can personally testify that Dr. Mahalati is an expert in providing outstanding patient outcomes. She demonstrates a level of personal care for her patients that is undeniably comforting and she backs it up with her depth of knowledge and expertise in providing OBGYN care. She has literally saved my life mentally and physically and I am eternally grateful to her. She makes me feel like I am a part of the family and I cannot envision myself allowing anyone else to care for me in this regard.
