This camp is not only unsafe for children (complaints about children being left alone/throwing knives in the woods/children riding without safety gear/transporting the children (3 children to one seatbelt in the SUV and having children sit on the floor) but they are also known to be in financial difficulties (in Apex and Hurdle Mills)(SEE MERCHANTCIRCLE.COM). I know many people who wanted to cancel after going to the camp or hearing the bad reviews (INCLUDING MYSELF) and that they were not refunded any of the fees that they paid up front (INCLUDING MYSELF). She offers great deals to pay ahead of time and when parents find out the situation and want to cancel, they get nothing back. One of my friends even has a $600+ judgement that she cannot get them to pay. PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE!

Five STAR FARM is the best camp my children have ever attended! Monique Kent the owner goes out of her way to make sure that each child's needs are met. My children learned so much about kindness, respect and responsability. They had a fantastic experience and are begging to go back. Thanks to everyone at Five Star (especially Monique) for taking such great care of our children. I highly recommend this camp to any parent who wants their child to have a great learning experience in a caring enviroment.

This has been one of the best camps and afterschool programs my girls have attended. They never want to come home! Monique and her staff are very welcoming, accommodating, and professional. I have been amazed at how much each of them has learned about horses. They have been riding, caring for, feeding, etc the horses at the farm since the fall of 2008. I can assure you there are no camps/programs that can provide as much fulfillment and enjoyment for the money as Five Star Farm.You will read all kinds of reviews online. Take them (including this one) "with a grain of salt". Visit the Farm for yourself. Talk to Monique. Then decide for yourself. My wife and I (and kids) are extremely happy with Five Star.
