We have bought 2 cars in 3 years and my son bought his just recently and my experience was above my expectations. In my past experiences with other dealerships we have sat in the business all day but with carmax it is always in less than 2 hours when we are driving our purchase away. I will recomend them to all my contacts

they offered me almost nothing for the car my daddy bought me when i graduated from high school. i wanted to buy a new one, but thiers were so expensive that it didnt make sense to trade it in. then when they told me how much they thought my little honda was really worth, i just left. i didnt say what i was thinking, because my parents raised me better. anyway, i just saw them on here and thought other people ought to know too. i dont usually write these reviews - but figured it might help somebody else. im sorry to be mean, but they just werent fair. i guess it wouldnt matter except it took them like an hour to tell me that my honda wasnt any good to them. i sold it to another dealer for a fair price and it only took a little bit for them to decide -and that was after i already bought a car from them for way less than this places cars cost. im sorry. maybe they are better about it now. that was a few months ago and maybe it was just the guy i was talking to thought he could take advantage of me because i was buying my first car, but it just made me angry. they might be better now, but id still say be carefull.

So, the all famous "Check list". Let's me tell you what is not on their check list and was wrong with our car they sold us: We had NO windshield washer fluid, we were almost out of power steering fluid, we had to replace the battery in one month, we had hesitation problems that took three visits back to Car Max to get fixed and our a/c and heater is faulty and will probably have to be replaced. This is the Car Max in Huntsville, AL. Shame on them.

this rink a dink car lot advertises a free apraisal for all cars and they will buy your car. i took my 2003 f 150 king ranch edition up there to get it appraised. i waited 45 minutes for an appraisal and they offer me 6,000!!!! dollars, keep in mind this truck brand new was 54,000, while i was waiting i saw a 2003 f 150 with way more miles than mine and it wasnt the king ranch edition they was selling it for 18000 3 times as much they offered for me, this car lot is the biggest rip off in north alabama not to mention the unfriendly staff.
