The Pegasus School, founded in 1979, is a nonprofit educational corporation offering education to students in preschool through grade eight. It operates a lower school and a middle school and offers enrollment to more than 500 students. It offers courses in subjects that include reading, math, language arts, social studies, technology, science, Spanish, music and physical education. The curriculum also includes resource classes taught by specialists. The school offers a full range of sporting activities, including flag football, basketball, volleyball and soccer. The Pegasus School also offers a more than 24,000-square-foot Hathaway activities center that houses an art theater, gymnasium and various art studios. The Pegasus School is a member of the National Association of Independent Schools and is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. The school is located in Huntington Beach, Calif.
