We had tried several reading programs, but at the age of 8 my son still wasn't reading. The school psychologist did some testing, and said that the results indicated problems with visual processing. Researching online, I found Dr. Sapossnek's site to be very helpful, took my son for an exam there, and was told he was a good candidate for improvement through vision therapy, and that turned out to be true. After several weeks on Dr. Sapossnek's program (comprised of sessions at her office as well as exercises at home), my son not only began to read, but suddenly found he was able to ride a two-wheeler - something he had been desperately trying to do for over a year. Now, he's an honor student, which is amazing for him after being so frustrated at school.

The doctor and her staff were wonderful. We always looked forward to going there. They made things fun and even gave prizes to their young patients. I encourage anyone in need of these services to try Family Vision Care. It's an important investment to make in your child, and makes a huge difference for his or her entire life.
