We were looking for a landscaping service and one our neighbors recommended Southscape Landscaping. After seeing the great job they did on their property, a large single family home, we gave them a call. We live in a townhouse and there is no way they could get in without us being there. Plus we were not a very big job. They said that would not be a problem and they advised us that they would probably not get out immediately but most likely the following week. We doubted it only because of the size of our job and from past experiences we had with other companies in the area that would just not show up... most would just not call you back when you left a message. On the following Tuesday we received a call from Southscape telling us they would be to our home on Wednesday late afternoon Not only did they show up but Hunter and Julio did a fantastic job trimming, cleaning up, and getting our yard back into shape. They were respectful and did a top notch job. We will be using them from now on. I also did like the fact that right up front they told us how they charge for their services so there would be no surprises. We highly recommend Southscape Landscaping!

I called to complain about their service and the woman on the phone was so rude to me. Don't use them. There are plenty out there who can treat customers with respect! Chose someone else.

Sadly, the review by Irv G. is not completely accurate and I'd like to post a response to this.



First…we never charge him any late fees. There is a disclaimer on our invoice that states invoices not paid in a timely manner are assessed a late fee.



Second…our crew leader is an all american war veteran that served in the Iraq war. He was always onsite for every mow and I'm not sure how communicating with him was an issue.



Third, the property was partially serviced thus a mowing was charged. In retrospect we should have invoiced 1/2 the service and have in fact adjusted the invoice to reflect the 1/2 service cost and resent. Any monies overpaid due to this are reimbursed.



Lastly, I believe that Irv G. has painted an overall poor picture of Southscape Landscaping that isn't accurate. We service hundreds of properties in the Greater Charlotte area and have many very satisfied clients. It's unfortunate that he wrote up this review as it's not entirely accurate.

Lied to customers accusing them of badmouthing their crew supervisor to their workers. Unless you can speak Spanish, you can't talk to their workers. Also, when grass was too wet to cut, they charged a full visit anyway claiming they stopped by to pick up twigs - however, I don't have any tress so there aren't any twigs. Also, I sat on my front porch the whole time to verify they never did any work, but they insist on charging for a full cutting anyway. Finally, their bill arrived on the due date so it was impossible to pay on time, so now they want a $25 late fee!

They are absolutely the worst people I have ever had to do business with and they should be avoided at all costs!
