Located in Hunter, N.Y., Hunter Elementary School serves more than 250 students in prekindergarten through sixth grade. The school is a part of Hunter-Tannersville Central School, which serves students in elementary, middle and high schools. Its staff includes teachers, curriculum consultants, vocational therapists, nurses, guidance counselors and psychologists. Hunter Elementary School offers a nationally recognized abuse-resistance program and the English as a Second Language program. In addition, it offers cocurricular activities and after-school programs. Hunter Elementary School provides a variety of sports activities, such as volleyball, swimming, cheerleading, basketball, baseball and tennis. Its range of activities includes student government, clubs, mission trips and peer tutoring programs. Hunter Elementary School also has a cafeteria that offers lunch and breakfast to students.
