Since 1994, Hospice of Baltimore has been providing hospice care services to patients in the Greater Baltimore community. Based in Bel Air, Md., it is one of the largest nonprofit hospice organizations in Maryland. The center provides a wide range of services to individuals diagnosed with critical illnesses. Hospice of Baltimore employs a trained team of personnel to provide services that include medical and nursing care, social work, home health and volunteer assistance, as well as spiritual and grief counseling and support. The center offers its services in a residential setting, nursing home and retirement community. Hospice of Baltimore is certified by Medicare to provide hospice care services. It is approved by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.
