Conewago Place offers short- and long-term treatment to patients who suffer from substance abuse. It is a 50-plus bed facility and is spread over an area of more than 10 acres. The facility is licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Health. It features a softball field, computer laboratory, volleyball and basketball courts and horseshoe pits. Conewago Place is located in Hummelstown, Pa., and is a part of Firetree, which was founded in 1991 and is a nonprofit corporation. Firetree conducts several drug and alcohol treatment programs that provide detoxification, inpatient and outpatient services. The corporation operates several community retreat centers for the development of life skills.
