Greek Excellence

Food, atmosphere & service was great. Recommend if your looking for Greek Excellence than this is your place.
Price is average & portions are just right. If you can't finish take it to go. :)

We have eaten at Savvas Greek ...

We have eaten at Savvas Greek Cuisine & Grill several times, but this last time we decided to place an order for carry out. Talk about disappointing. We ordered the small family meat platter and our half pound of Gyro meat looked like the dregs from the day. There wasn't a piece that was bigger than 1/4 inch. My daughter actually got more meat on the child's Gyro she ordered the last time we were in the restaurant than what was provided on the platter. To make matters worse, I called to talk with the manager and her response was that it was the end of the day and we should just expect that with Gyro meat. If that is the attitude for this restaurant, then I won't be returning. It is a shame that this family run restaurant cares so little for quality and thier customer.

I do have to say my cousin was talking about this place for a whole month before we all went out to see for ourselves. She was Savvas's this and Savvas's that, I just late there, so when my family and I came down from Ohio to see that part of my family she had gyros waiting for us. 24 hour drive between 3 adults and 4 kids, we were straving! I have to say it was all she said it would be. we were there for Thanksgiving week, we ate there at Savvass 6 out of the seven days. Thanksgiving turkey came between me and Savvass. My kids even loved it. They never eat all their food. The staff there was so sweet and friendly. There is NO better place to go eat if you want great, fresh food for under 10 dollars. We ended up taking a cooler full of gyro meat, lamb and chicken souvalaki, musaka, baklava, this other one gala somthing (to die for), a tub of tarama, this eggplant dip (mouth watering) and a ton of pita (their wheat but you cant tell, so good for the little ones). We truly loved their food. You can taste the freshness. This is the great part, 47 dollars got 7 people a large cooler full of food that we ate the whole two days of driving back! I would honestly say, if they were here in Ohio I would go there everyday. I'm having touble not wanting those tender, juicy lamb shanks (my mouth is watering now). As much as im going to miss my family, I think im going to miss Savvas greek cuisine and grill. I really hope they can make their way up to Ohio. I know Ohio would welcome them, Gladly! I love good'ol home made greek food! Keep the good work up! The only thing I want for christmas is their delicious recipes!
