When I started at Lone Star Coffee I was harassed by some of the current employees because they were utterly upset that I got hired as a manager and they had been there for 6 months to a year. I brushed it off and learned EVERYTHING there was to know about LSC in the first two months. I was informed that they were moving offices a month into accepting the position which ONLY bothered me because I feel that should have been made known at the interview. I needed the job and I moved with the company of course. We moved into a 10 x 20 trailer (there were three of us, we left two behind - one because the owner said she was "dumb" and the other b/c she was pregnant... classy guy) the trailer was way to small for three people and not very accommodating considering I was their boss and did everyone's payroll basically right in front of them which I felt was very inappropriate. After two months of being in this trailer these two girls quit and never called or showed up one Monday morning leaving me with the job of AT LEAST three to four people on my shoulders. I NEVER complained, I did my job to the best of my ability to keep out customers happy and content without any knowledge of the tragedy that was going on inside the office. A month goes by and he tells me to hire two more people. I start interviewing and bring in two people, one left after ONE day because it was too much pressure (she ended up coming back and filing part time for extra spending money but she really didn't want or need to work). So I hired one more girl, both of them were fantastic. One was a very quick learner the other had fantastic customer service skills, everything was running smoothly. Then Paul decides to start micromanaging and undermining my authority with these girls that I hired. He would tell them, "dont listen to her, I am your boss, what I say goes, she doesn't know what she's talking about".. all this after I basically bent over backwards working 12 hours days with a 6 month old in daycare ALL DAMN DAY to keep his company a float and keep the customers happy. Eventually it came out that we did not see eye to eye and I need him to give me some space and go through me and let me manage the office because THAT IS what he hired ME TO DO! He would let go of the reins and then tighten them back up over and over until we were both just miserable being around each other. I NEVER let it effect my customer service or my job duties, I always made sure everything of mine and my girls jobs were done in a proper and timely fashion. None of this was appreciated, he told me he was hiring two more people for "my" department to take some of the stress off of my girls and a salesperson to get some new jobs and get our name out there. Totally fine, I will train them as I have the other two and we will be a lot more stress free! Great! After he felt I was done training them he ended up firing me, after I bent over backwards for him making this job a priority because of my title and because I flat out NEEDED to work, I was a single mother of an infant. He fired me without any previous disciplinary actions and then when I filed for unemployment so that I could support my daughter and I while I searched for work again, he tried to forge a letter from an internal email AFTER I left that day stating that I HAD QUIT! He fought me tooth and nail on getting unemployment which he eventually failed at! I stayed on it for two months while searching for work AGAIN and he came "out of pocket" maybe $2,800 total. GIVE ME A BREAK! It's strictly business, it's not personal but PAUL GARCIA you are the most horrible person I think I've ever met and definitely ever worked for and NOW I see why you have trouble holding a full staff of people for more than six months at a time.I would advise that you treat your employees with a little, NO A LOT more appreciation AND respect if you plan on keeping them for longer than six months to a year! Regardless if we are the janitors or the CEO's, we
