In Response to Kemnitz: A dishwasher cannot be screwed to a quartz counter top. This will crack the counter top. It must be adhered with silicone and the silicone must be allowed to cure. Clearly the dishwasher was opened before it should have been. The $4000 quartz counter top is man made by the way. That being said, and explained to Kemnitz from the manufacturer and cabinet companies, small defects are not unusual in manufacturing. The "gouge" was actually a 1/2" minor scratch that was buffed out. Again, a minor manufacturing defect - not caused by New World. And, yes, my grandson was in training, A summer job. He did great and I'm quite proud of him.
