Hometown Hero. I love local businesses that truly care about the work they do and the people they work with. These guys are all of that! My wife and I were expecting our first child a few weeks back and my wife wanted a dimmer in the baby room. I successfully bought one and installed it... It didn't work... nor did other rooms in the house after my handy work. I spent hours on it (I know I'm an idiot, I don't need any reminders). Long story short, the tech from John Moore Services went over and above to fit it. The technician was great about taking off his shoes (first time parents, you know why) and was very sweet to my wife. Good thing for them, our kiddo came a few weeks early! I highly recommend these guys.

We had the worst ac problem on the worst possible day. But John Moore Services handled it and we couldn't be more pleased with the service. From the first phone call to the clean up they were courteous, fast, and efficient. I will use them and highly recommend them to others.

These guys were super honest Excellent service, open when others were not. Technician went above and beyond to make sure the A/C was not only running but that any other future potential issues were solved! A few issues we hadn't noticed were pointed out and fixed beyond the main issue.

absolute crooks advertise free estimates then charge a 69$ trip fee to force you into paying there ridiculous fees I paid 338 for a repair that would have cost 100-150 at the other three places i called after the fact. They will not refund anything and simply dont give a crap about retaining there customers just duping the next guy.

horrible place charged me three times more then two other places quoted me after the fact. Free estimates are a lie try a 69 dollar trip free and when inquired why it was still on the website they told me they dont do that anymore i tried to use a coupon they had on the website to be told by the tech they dont accept coupons its your freaking coupon! a really horrible place I wish i would have done my research before getting ripped off by these guys

I used to work for jms and if you like being lied to and ripped off call John Moore they used to train us how to make it seem like your system is down so we could sell you a new system everyone works off commission based pay. If you don't sell they don't care stay away I worn you

This place is the WORST company on the planet! Stay away from them for your own good! I promise you will not regret it!



Don't be a victim like I was... I would hate that they ever get a dime from another poor schmuck.



Read all the horror stories (on Google) and don't let it happen to you too! The 'good' reviews are obviously faked by John Moore employees because there is no possible way anyone could say anything positive about this company after dealing with them.



I don't understand how they are in business still other than they trick poor people into believing their stupid jingles and happy commercials. It's all a lie!



Stay away. Stay far far away.



Charged WAAAY too much to fix my broken water main line from the street to our home and in the process broke my neighbor's line and won't own up to it.

John Moore quoted me $15,000 and wanted to tear up my patio for a problem that took another plumber 1 hour and $400 to solve.



I called John Moore because my tubs and toilets were backing up. They came on time and were very professional. The day started with them giving me a quote of $1000 to pick up a toilet rooter through it, and replace the toilet. I said lets do it.



Then the plumber called his "manager" sales pusher is more like it. When they put a camera in my clean out I was shown a video of a pipe that was completely crushed and they couldn't get their camera more than 2 feet, this was obviously the source of my problems. I was told this pipe would need to be replaced and obviously all 70 feet of it would need to be replaced also. To rip up my patio and replace all the pipe would be $15,000. What I find interesting is I never saw them actually measure the pipe, but they assured me it was at least 70 feet that needed fixing. and once they started excavating it would most likely end up being even more feet. But good news for me they had a crew that could be here in one hour... does this sound fishy to anyone else? Because it is, really really fishy. They were trying to rush me into using their company. I told them I would need a second quote. At this point they wouldn't leave their estimate with me, unlike the first more reasonable estimate which they had a print out for me they took their computer and left me with nothing, how then could I call them and say I wanted to go through with their recommendations? Well they knew once I called a plumber I wouldn't be calling them back and didn't want to leave any evidence of their scam.



I then called a repairman friend and was informed that PVC pipe (which is what I knew was under the house) cannot be crushed, they said possibly one foot of it could be wrong, but definitely not 70 feet.



I then called in another plumber, and somehow miraculously the "crushed pipe" I saw with John more was now an open pipe, and this plumber had no problem getting his camera to go 40 feet. That's 38 feet more than John Moore told me their camera could go because of the "crushed pipe" Leading me to believe John Moore showed me a prerecorded video to convince me to use their services. The pipe did have some roots in it, and there was a blockage because of the roots. The new plumber removed the blockage and all my toilets were able to flush, and all the bathtubs could drain. Then the plumber cut the roots away so it wouldn't become another blockage issue and advised me to get some root killer to put down the pipes periodically. We have had no issues since.



In summary John Moore showed me a prerecorded video and tried to scam me out of $15,000.

I wouldn't recommend them to my ex-wife!!!!

Our AC was out, so we had them come out for that famous "free quote." They quoted us $5,000-$10,000 for a new system. "That was the only solution." A week later, (today) we got the problem fixed for less then $100. Their people are payed on commission, so they charge as much as possible!! DO NOT USE JOHN MOORE!!!!!!!!

Hired John Moore Services to perform termite treatment after termites swarmed at the entrance of the house. I did extensive research before hiring the contractor and inspector from John Moore seemed to be the most knowledgeable of all companies that gave me an estimate. They were also significantly cheaper compared to two national companies. The technician came on time and did a great work. He had to do some drilling and he patched the holes and cleaned everything up. Next weekend I discovered that one of the sprinklers was damaged when he dug the trench. John Moore dispatched a sprinkler company to replace the sprinkler head the next day. Excellent service.

Don't even bother to call them. My A/C system is only 2 years old but it was cutting off/on. The repair technician that came to my house didn't even bother to go into the attic he just immediately wrote an estimate to "replace my thermostat" for $500 bucks. When I heard about all this, I called my installer, ARS. They came out quickly, took a look at it and determined that the "drain pipe" was plugged. It cost $79 bucks (cost of the service fee). I also learned that I need to keep that thing cleaned out.

If John Moore had done the work, it would have cost me $500 bucks and it still wouldn't be working!!! Also the technician had terrible Customer Service skills. I never want them in my home again.

BUYER BEWARE! Be sure to read...

BUYER BEWARE! Be sure to read the negative comments because they are exactly what I experienced. The technician came out, removed the bathroom p-trap and did one clean-out, in the kitchen he knocked out a plug in the garbage disposal. This took about 25 minutes of time and the bill was $440.



The invoice I received was the original quote which sounded like several hours’ worth of work. They did not even perform half the amount of work they listed on the invoice. When I called to complain they did refund the 2nd clean-out charge of $69.



The customer service representative Korrie Sam told my husband, "I guess you do not want to pay for anything." My husband commented that he wanted to pay what was fair.



We will never call this company again, recommend their services. It is a shame that companies take advantage of people like this.

One word...RIPOFF. 5 year old A/C was making noise. First John Moore guy said it needed $1400 of assorted work to be "like new" for 5-7 more years. 2 hours after he got paid and left, the noise came back. 2nd tech said the compressor was bad and that the entire unit, inside and out, needed to be replaced for $7000. When I asked about the $1400 I had spent 2 hours earlier, he said it was an "unfortunate coincidence". A local HONEST A/C installer said he gets calls from unhappy John Moore customers all the time and from their techs looking for work because they are tired of being pressured by management to make unnecessary sales. HONEST guy installed a new unit inside & out with a 10 year parts & labor warranty for $4200. Now I'm fighting with John Moore to get my $1400 back. They are unresponsive and avoiding me. I will be lodging a complaint with the BBB as others should, as well as posting this everywhere I can. These people are crooks, plain & simple.

so do u work for free???? free estimate i had john moore a/c service come out and give me there free visual estimate that was fine the technician could not find out what was wrong with the unit by the free visual estimate so he had to get his tools off his work truck he informed me that there would be a fee for that, thats fine i said, he then found out what was wrong using his tools the technician then gave me a a estimate of what it would cost to fix it. my point is this tech is just tryin to make a living to why should he pull his tools off his truck find out what the problem is and not get a service call fee of a whole 89.00 dollars come on everybody u don't work for free so why should this technician find out for free whats wrong with your a/c for nothin i will always recommend john moore to everybody!
