Same Company - Same No Service

Again I have to change this to satisfy Yellow Pages, but the company is still the same as above and so is the same No Service Attitude. See No Service - Just Gimme Your Money.

Don't Bother Us, Just Pay Us

I have to change this somewhat to satisfy Yellow Pages, but the results are the same as for the other location. See above rating. No Service - Just Gimme The Money and preferrably don't bother us for service.

I contacted Hotchkiss Insurance approximately one year ago asking for assistance in retaining commercial insurance with a carrier I have used for several years but who required me to change agents. After several requests, I was finally able to get a field agent to visit my business to view the premises as a requirement by my carrier. At that time I also requested several changes in my policy. Although he stayed only a few minutes and took no notes, he agreed and said he would get back with me. My policy was to expire within about 60 days. When he failed to respond to my requests, I contacted my carrier directly and was able to work with a representative there to continue my coverage. I pay quarterly and when I received notification that my insurance policy was to be cancelled in the second quarter for failure to pay my premium, I contacted the representative at the home office and made arrangements to pay them directly again. Shortly thereafter I was contacted by an accountant at Hotchkiss informing me that I owed them commissions for the insurance contract. It seems they are to bill me and forward the payment to my carrier less there commissions. Because I was paying the carrier directly I was getting credit for what I paid the carrier, but my agent was not able to get their “hard earned” commissions. I finally paid their commissions directly after some difficult conversations; after all I must have insurance. They informed me at that time that I would be receiving an invoice from them quarterly as was initially part of the contract with my carrier. Approximately a month ago, I again received a cancellation notice from my carrier due to failure to receive premiums on time. Again I quickly sent them their payment before the cancellation date, as again I had received no notice or statement of any kind from Hotchkiss Agency. Today I did receive an email from Hotchkiss Agency stating that I had not paid their commission when I had forwarded my payment to my insurance company. In truth I did only pay what was on the notice from my carrier. I would have been required to locate all my records to determine just how much I needed to include for the Hotchkiss Agency, whom I have only seen once and have only talked to after that when they have called about their commissions. The email I received was dated four days ago and gave me ten days to pay their commissions before they would attempt to have my insurance cancelled. They still have not sent me any correspondence by US Mail, nor in their email attachment letter did they list a phone number to contact them or a mailing address where I am to mail their commissions. They did however state that “We value our relationship with you.” I would too if I could force someone to send me money each quarter and do absolutely nothing to earn it.
