Jonathan came out to help me with an issue I was having when another plumber (different company) installed a tankless water heater for me.

He checked everything and made sure the settings were correct and resolved some of the noise the new tankless was making. He also explained how tankless works and that getting rid of all the noise was nearly impossible but showed me ways to have it only trigger at minimal times.

I was ready to go back to tanked water heater but he calmed me down and explained the tankless lasts longer and will ultimately save me money in the long run. I'm planning on using his services again to install some water conditioning devices.

He mentioned that these could help the noise but mainly would reduce maintenance and ensure water coming out of any house fixture functioned better. That's why I'd recommend ARS and Jonathan in particular because he knows his stuff.

It's no fun hiring 2 plumbers to do one water heater install correctly so don't always go with the cheapest offer at the start like I did. Go with ARS first

I recently had a defective hot water heater replaced by ARS. The manufacturer's warranty was honored and the plumbing tech, Avdyl P. performed the installation in a timely and satisfactory manner.

Perry C. came out upgraded our church electrical service for us. I found him to very polite, knowledgeable a concern about doing the best possible job for the customer. He was very good about following up when I had a problem getting the electricity turned back on. I will recommend to others and will definitely as for him the next time we or I personnely need an electrician.

Always have good experiences with ARS, although they are pricey and the high demand means you can't always get a serviceman out quickly. Waited five days for plumber, and it was well worth it. Advyl diagnosed my leaking sink as a bad faucet, and found me a much nicer one as a replacement. Even running out to get the faucet, the whole job took less than 2 hours.

I wanted to share my very positive experience with Alfonso L and his assistant at ARS – Houston North. I had a clogged drain line to a new hot heater that was installed. ARS sent out the technician that installed the hot heater and he said that I now needed a new drain line. I was not at all happy about this as this would entail an additional expense and require having an “ugly” pipe running down the outside of my two story house. I contacted ARS to express my dissatisfaction and request a second opinion. ARS sent out Alfonso L and his assistant. After going up in the attic, Alfonso confirmed that the drain line was indeed clogged but felt that he could get the line unclogged. I am happy to report that Alfonso L and his assistant delivered!!! I can’t say enough about the “can do” attitudes and professionalism they displayed. Not only did they save me money, but I do not have an “ugly” pipe running down the outside of my house. If and when I have future plumbing issues, I will definitely be contacting ARS – Houston North and requesting the services of Alfonso L and his assistant.

What a bunch of inconsiderate losers. Wasted my time two Saturdays in a row. that's 16 hours of my time and I still have an a/c problem. I'm not happy. Why schedule an appointment if they don't' bother to show up until hours later. I should have told them to stick it last weekend and find someone else that appreciates my business. I will never use them again.

Terrible service. Never had a plumber come out and NOT want to do the work. Called his supervisor 5 times about how he doesn't want to do the work... Came first time, wrong tools, was 5 hours late. Promised to be there at 8AM, showed up at 12:50 PM.

This unprofessional company has no concept of scheduled appointments. If I could give ARS a no star I would! They will schedule a block of four hours and not show or even call to reschedule. It took them a week to finally make it out to my house. The technician was finally able to take time out of his busy schedule to provide me (the customer) a diagnosis of needing a new hot water heater. When he showed up two days later, he brought the wrong HWH! He told me I would be his priority customer the following morning with the correct HWH. I agreed. After having my son wait around all day, the technician calls at 2:30 pm and says, "I'm on my way" as if he is a friend dropping by to say hi. I sternly informed Hector the technician that I was not happy with the continued missed appointments. He starts giving me excuses and get this says, "I'm sorry I had other customers". I took a deep breathe and asked if I was chopped liver? That I...am the customer that has been waiting for two weeks! I then went on a rant about mismanagement and how I really don't care about your problems with other customers. Since this is covered under my American home shield protection, I have gone round and round with AHS and I have no choice what company they send my way. Today, I received a call from ARS unrescueable rooter and the rep tells me a tech is on his way. Not is this time good? or when will you be available? I reluctantly agreed. No kidding five minutes later the same rep calls and tells me a technician is NOT on is way. Apparently Hector the technician got his tiny feelings hurt and AR frickin S! transferred the job back to home shield. Now I have to start over with a different company. We shall see how this plays out.

Do not make timely appointment calls. Do not call to inform customers when running late. Have no voicemail boxes set up and no managers or supervisors to talk with. To sum it all up--WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. I only give it 1 star because I can't leave 0 stars.

It is bad experience for A/C repairing, I called at 12:00, actually arrive around 4:00. First day, they changed a surge protector. and charged me for $500. Because he said it can works, I paid. But after I paid, I check my A/C, the problem was still same. Because the time is 6:00, he said he would come back tomorrow to change the furnace control board. After changing the board, I was charged another $550.

So the result is: I was charged $1050 for changing control board, and one hot night!!! The similar board sell in home depot is about $200. ARS is expensive and less effective. Never contact them again.

Renee Kellogg, their customer service representative in Austin is way more interested in disproving you as a customer than to find out the truth of what happens with ARS service. Luckily for me I have all evidence in my favor. In summary ARS should have detected an evaporator coil leak at the time the part was under warranty but they did not. In addition I have confirmed their prices are way higher than their competition, I found out a more honest alternative and MUCH better pricing with Air and Rescue (512-328-2000) don't waste your time with this company, expensive, ineffective with poor customer service. By the way their HSP is a joke they come and do nothing to your unit. total rip off. Below is a detail explanation of what happened to me in case you are interested:

Also if you had horrible experience like me you can report them to Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation and just fill out the form (tdlr.texas.gov/Complaint…)

Contact me (cell 801-885-0120)if you want to report them as well and I will gladly show you how to do it

Full report:

On June 25, 2011 ARS Rescue Rooter came to my house due to a service call I had place to fix my AC because it was not cooling. Upon arrival the technician ("Randall" #970) said that I needed a refill of "Puron". Given the price of Puron per pond at that time, the technician suggested that I should, instead of buying Puron by the pound, buy the Home Service Plan (HSP) (which includes Puron re-fill), because the price of $169 of the HSP was lower than the amount of Puron I needed to buy to refill the unit. I followed his advice and I purchase the HSP that same day as evidenced in the Invoice (9132-634418)

On June 18, 2012 I called ARS again because my AC was not cooling again. The second technician (#619) diagnosed that the Blower Motor was not working properly and suggested a replacement. By this date (June 15, 2012) my system was still under 5 years thus, parts were covered under warranty. This technician also noted that the unit was low of Puron (AGAIN) and topped off the unit with Puron as described (written) on the invoice (9132-661896). I paid $190.36 for the part replacement.

On Jan 27, 2014 I had the unit checked for regular maintenance. Technician (David #373 or #372?) "Checked" both the heating AND Cooling system, as evidenced by invoice #9132-623964 and said there were no issues. I recall the visit lasting less than 15 min.

This month (June 2014) I noted that once again my unit was not cooling so I called ARS Rescue Rooter to inquire about the price of Puron (since I knew that what they do every time) the price was over $100 per pound so I looked elsewhere for a better price. I contracted the services of Drain + Air Rescue (License #TACLB36308E) and the technician ("Manny") added Puron. He said that the unit should not be loosing Puron (given that Puron is contained in a sealed compartment) and, after inspection, diagnosed the unit with a leak in the evaporator coil (as noted in invoice # 171569) and gave me a quote for the replacement. "Manny" checked if the evaporator coil was under warranty and found out that it had a 5 year warranty and was out of warranty.

Early this month (June 2014) I called ARS Rescue Rooter to make a formal complaint with them arguing that after various checks and even after they had to re-filled my AC unit with Puron they never suggested that I had a leak, at the time of those checks I had a leak, evidenced by the refills made by ARS (as written in one of the invoices #9132-661896) and at the time my unit, more specifically the evaporator Coil WAS UNDER WARRANTY. I requested to them to pay for the part (About $800) and I would pay for the service (about $800) but ARS rescue rooter refused to acknowledge responsibility.

I had a very good experience with ARS. Our tech that came to our house was very knowledgeable and willing to answer questions. I will refer my friends and family to ARS and continue to request Al each time to service our ac and furnace. Thank you

Best experience with ARS to date!

Electrician... Perry C provided 5 star customer education/satisfaction.

I would recommend ARS-Electrical to my neighbors based on this experience-

Perry C arrived on time, made sure he left my home free of excess materials used during the service call , very professional and actually listens to the customer !!

Came home to find my ac out so I called ARS. They want $80 to come give me a quote. When I said no thanks, they offered to email a coupon for $80 off. So they came out. The guy almost immediately said we need a whole new system (didn't even go into the attic) and he quoted us $9,800. He said the compressor was out and that was our only option. Today, we had another company out and it turns out 1-the guy didn't even reconnect or replace the cover on our unit and 2-it was not the compressor at all and for only a couple hundred dollars, it is working fine. ARS - Absolutely Rediculous Service!!!! Avoid them like the plague!

Stay Away Please! Inspection time for new water heater. They were to call an inspector out to my home. I am self employed so I took off. I called them at 4:05 pm only to find out that they pulled the wrong city inspection. I am very disappointed because I have wasted 8 hours of my time on a mistake no one bothered to place a call to me to rectify. Needless to say, they are history in my book. I will not take off again. They owe me thousands for taking off as far as I am concerned.

This business definitely OVER promised and UNDER performed. We needed to replace our old hot water pipes that were developing pin prick leaks. These very unprofessional, uncaring "plumbers" went about cutting our old pipes out and replacing them with Aquapex piping. Little did I know that when they were in the attic, they threw around my Christmas ornaments and anything else that was in their way. We found out later that they even knocked off the entire ductwork to one of our bedrooms. Reckless disregard for our personal belongings! Not only did they leave a bunch of broken contents behind but then they could not even get the billing straight. I could go on and on with the details of their shotty workmanship, but you'd get tired of reading. Don't misunderstand; the Aquapex is a great product but get a professional to install it, NOT ARS Rescue Rooter. Once that salesman makes his pitch, forget about ever being able to get back to him for the so-called guarantee.

Main water line supply repair

My technicians were awesome especially given the cold temp and rain. They explained in detail the repair and materials they would use. Pricing was fair and they apologized for being a little tardy but with the bad weather and the holiday it was not an issue. I highly recommend them.
